Incredible service & food!In a difficult situation having to stay in a hotel currently these guys made it so easy for me to have some good homemade grub & delivered which was so quick and professional made sure I had cutlery and everything was so neatly presented.Thank you guys the burger, chips, milkshake & even the salad everything was on point! I don’t live around here but I will definitely be taking a trip up to you’re pub when I return home.Amazing thanks again guys above and beyond.

This pub is a gem. From the outside it looks pretty ordinary. When you step in, you're stepping back in time yo a proper local country pub. It's lovely. Roaring fire, very friendly locals, very friendly, attentive staff. Food gorgeous, beer great. Right by the canal and Vines Park. A must visit!!

Good beer selection, I enjoy the atmosphere and love the outside bit with benches, tables and heaters...one issue, I go there to meet a friend who lives very close I've eaten there four times now and am not too impressed with the food, over cooked, under cooked which is such a shame as the menu looks appetising. Please raise your standards, I will come back to eat and I will raise my review.

Fantastic!!. This is a place you have to get to. The pies are amazing and two pies and two pints.a bargain at £31. Staff absolutely brilliant too. Can't recommend enough

Never visited the area before so Googled local pubs. This one looked really interesting. Soon as we walked through the door we knew we had done the right thing. We were greeted by Edith the landlady who found us a nice comfortable corner. The menu was extensive and good value. We had to wait a while for the food but at least you know it is freshly cooked, unlike the chain pubs. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were absolutely stuffed and really did not need a pudding. But there was a promise of bread and butter pudding with custard of course. It was hard to resist, my god it was the best we have ever had. It was a very pleasant visit, lovely people, food and great selection of beers. Next time we are down there we will defo visit again.

Lovely Sunday roasts after a walk along the canal with the dogs. So we sat out the back under the heaters, hence the red glow of the picture. The food was great thank you.

Found this gem of a pub while travelling from Blackburn back to South Wales. Quaint and quirky with a homely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Sunday lunch was beautiful and very generous portions. Could have sat in the big armchairs for the afternoon if we didn't have to travel back. Definitely on our list to stop en route back from the North. Thanks.

We had a fabulous meal here today - they accommodate 15 of us, and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service; amazing food - plenty of it and piping hot; fantastic , hard working and friendly staff. They made our day. Cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience.

Absolutely great. Arrived in town late, It was 30 minutes before the kitchen closed, I placed an order on justeat. Ordered the beef roast. The chef calls me immediately and apologises they are out of beef as it’s nearly closing time, and offered me alternative meats, I went with the chicken!The food arrived piping hot, wholesome, delicious and covered in gravy! Just the way I love it.A very personal thank you to the chef and the polite gentleman who delivered my food. I’ll definitely be eating here again and recommending this place to everyone I meet.Thank you for giving me an awesome and very much appreciated experience and meal after a tiring day!You’re winning !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best lasagne I have had other than in an Italian restaurant. Husband had souvlaki which was 10 out of 10 and father in law had Worcester pie which again was gorgeous. Will definitely call again if I'm in the area.
