Beautifully historic building. Food is homemade and lovely. Service was exceptional and very friendly. Please don't feed Billy the dog.

Cool OLD locals pub but difficult to eat as owners dog keeps trying to get a bit to eat also

Great traditional local pub,sat next to the village green and the church.Good range of beers,and friendly staff,including billy the boxer dog.Nice to sit outside on sunny days,too.

Went back today after a long time due to pandemic. Meal was excellent and as always the best home made chips I’ve ever tasted! Landlady lovely and Billy the dog a character. I’ve always loved this pub and it is always great to go back!

Excellent country pub. Ignore the reviews claiming the food isn't good: it's not a gastropub, thank God! It's an unpretentious country pub with good beer and friendly staff. Long may it stay that way.

This is a lovely, traditional pub (with a real fire place). Friendly staff make it feel local even if you aren't local. Very dog friendly with a welcoming boxer called Bill, he's awesome.

Fantastic homemade chips and excellent sandwiches. Good beer and friendly service. Log fire and a pub dog with real character. I love a proper Country Pub.

Cute and cosy, open fires, and a friendly welcome. Dog friendly too. Just the 2 ales on, kept OK. A little cold despite sitting directly in front of the fire, but it was a cold day.
