Hello,After my wife and daughter visited your hotel on Friday for a cream tea this week, I felt I should let you know our feedback, which is not positive. This was a Christmas gift purchased on Buyagift by my daughter-in-law two years ago who would be mortified if she knew, as it was purchased in good faith. We were unable to take advantage due to Covid. She paid £50 for a cream tea with bubbly for two. Whist your hotel is indeed lovely, the cream tea was a huge disappointment. The scones were inedible, my daughter asked for vegetarian sandwiches, being offered egg and cream cheese, which were far from acceptable. There was no bubbly as per the booking. I honestly feel she was totally ripped off. This certainly was not in any way representative of the money paid. I feel so strongly, I’ll certainly be leaving feedback elsewhere.

The hotel is in a nice location with a lovely view from our room over the grounds. The food was excellent. Beautiful scones in the afternoon and extremely good evening meal. However, we feel it was let down by the fact that none of the staff wore facemasks and didn't seem to worry about keeping their distance I.e. restaurant staff leaning over you to pour the wine. Covid is still very much with us and although not mandatory, on the Gov.uk website we are still advised to wear them, especially inside with people you dont know. Also, we noticed the breakfast cereal and fruit were in open containers, allowing people to cough and splutter over them. They should be covered. All in all, not great for health and safety!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and rooms, staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Views were incredible and there's a lovely hotel cat called Bear wandering around. Would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately I was disappointed with the woodnorton - we had booked an afternoon tea in which we had received as a gift “ a redletter days voucher” we decided we would use the £59.99 voucher to experience the woodnorton mainly because we were actually considering this hotel as a venue facility as my grandad had worked as a gardener at the woodnorton some years ago so i remember visiting when I was younger .When we arrived we were asked to go to the bar area at no point were we offered a drink which we would of certainly bought a couple! as had planned to make an afternoon of it - we were asked if we would like tea or coffee and then asked to go through to the next area again just pointed -The afternoon tea arrived which was lovely unfortunately there were egg sandwiches and I do not eat egg I would of expected to of been asked if there were any dietary requirements before hands but still -At no point did anybody ask if everything was ok or did we require anything .I went up to the bar as I was aware that the voucher untitled us to “ bubbly “ the man behind the bar was actually sat on his lap top he looked up and stated “ give me a minute “He finally came over quite a few minutes after I explained the experience and between him and the waitress they stated they weren't aware and it wasn’t obvious and in the waitress words “ I’ll raise this with them “ when I had to show prof off my phone in which she actually scrolled through not asking if that was ok !!! … we did eventually get 2 glasses of prosseco but all in all , I was very disappointed with the customer service we received we were made to feel a inconvenience and most definitely wasn’t the child free planned afternoon we had hoped for - in fact we couldn’t get out quick enough and are now enjoying the afternoon in another hotel - we will certainly not be recommending this to others and can cross it off the venue list .

Service poor due to lack of staff! Drinks over priced ÂŁ6.80 a pt of peroni!! Food over priced, starter 2 prawns ÂŁ9!! Wife had rump of lamb, but it came with a hot spice glazz. I have pork chop, very salty!! Did not enjoy. Wont be back.

Great period property with lovely rooms and views. Hotel is let down by service and organisation especially if a wedding is on there. Breakfast waitress was horrified when someone did not eat their food and almost refused to serve them again the following day?! On a good day this is worth staying, just hope it's a good day.

We had an Afternoon Tea for Two at the Wood Norton. Lovely location, quiet space and an elegant tea. My top marks to the chef/catering staff for the most tasty, textured scones I have ever experienced - deserving of a "Paul Hollywood" handshake. There was a delay in service, else I would give 5 stars.

Came for an afternoon tea which was a buy a gift voucher from a friend. When trying to book I felt they were too keen on booking the tea for us and were looking down their noses at us because we had a voucher! It didn't get much better when we arrived. The man behind the bar was very curt and almost rude, we found out later he was the manager. If they dont want to partner buy a gift why don't they stop doing it! My friend paid good money for it. To be honest the cakes were dry and not very nice at all. The scone was tiny and the tea was served way before the food and so we had nothing to drink when the food eventually appeared. Would not recommend.

Lovely room with amazing views over the terrace to the hills. The room had a huge, comfortable bed, nice en-suite with good toiletries. Polite, friendly and helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant. Unfortunately the hotel was cold almost everywhere, especially in the bar and lounges. The biggest disappointment was the choice of food. The same limited menu was offered for three of our four nights with only a small change on the other night. The food was expensive too. On our last night we had to eat in a small, cold room with no atmosphere with a few other residents. This was due to an event taking place in the main restaurant. We weren’t warned about this and it really spoilt our last evening. Probably wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The hotel was amazing! It was easy to locate your room especially being on the top floor since there was an elevator. The rooms were very tidy with an impressive king sized bed and lovely views. The staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to asking questions. The food was very well presented and had a lot of taste and was also served in good time.I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to get away or for an event.
