The Retreat in Wychavon

Some pleasant decor, reasonable wait times, helpful staff. My steak order came back a bit wrong, but I think they were dealing with a lot that day on account of appliance faults. Family were pleased with the baguettes and all day breakfast looked like great value for money.Overall recommended.

First time at The Retreat, good welcome on arrival, staff polite and eager to please. Lovely menu, good choice something for everyone, not pretentious like a lot of menus these days, a real treat! Will definitely go back!

Removed my original review as the owner seems insistent on arguing rather than owning and addressing the issues.The food was disappointing but the owners response is more disappointing.Needless to say I won’t be going back nor would I recommend the poor quality food.

Very expensive, poor food, had chicken burger, the bun was rock hard I couldn't eat it, chips very undercooked good job there were very few on the plate. We were very hungry and in a hurry so couldn't hang about to complain. £30 for two small meals and 1 pint and a coke. Food took a long time to arrive,

We enjoyed lunch here today, for the first time since the pandemic began. I had the chicken and bacon baguette, served with salad, at my request, (instead of chips and onion rings offered on the menu). It was crammed with meat, and delicious. I was particularly impressed that this pub has not introduced huge price rises, as some places have. My baguette and a coffee cost £7.75, less than the £8 I paid for just a sandwich at a nearby garden centre recently.The staff were very friendly, and keen to make sure we had everything we wanted.Thank you.
