Haven't been for years but recently found it has been taken over by the same owners as the Nailers Arms, as such we were looking forward to a nice carvery. This place was great, no fuss, all the trimmings carvery that tasted really nice, big plates and a good price. They have a good alternative menu and deserts.Free on site parking, small children's play park out back with an external bar in the beer garden. Will be regularly going back here.

Part of a group in the area for one night, dropped in a short notice and had a great meal. Some of the largest portion sizes I've ever seen, even better than that they provided good Tupperware for the leftovers. Service excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. When two of our people ordered a dessert they were also huge and great quality. Fully recommended.

26th April 22 First time here for me. Nine of us in our party and we all had the carvery. An excellent meat and especially vegetable selection. They had gluten free available for one of our number. Good quality and value we will be returning soon. 👍🏻

Great menu, good ales. Love the outdoor area and bar set up too.

Had the lamb kofta for starter, delicious flavor and the 28 day aged beef for main course, stacked on cauliflower cheese and roasted parsnips. The beef melted in your mouth, accompanied with thick gravy and horseradish source, a crispy Yorkshire pudding was the finishing touch for a complete Sunday lunch worth travelling for.

Pleasant environment and good service. Food was very basic, but reasonably priced. We sat as a large group in the mezzanine area upstairs which was great; small separate bar, toilets, own area, but still felt part of the whole restaurant.

Lovely food, we had the carvery, beautiful. Some lovely bar snacks to be had also, so i will be back for those. Went on Sunday, best to book. Got lucky and we had a table in the bar.

I visited today with my family for my 60th birthday and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. One of the nicest carveries I have been to in a long time with a vast choice and generous helpings. There were 13 of us and we all agreed we'd definitely go back. Thanks for making my birthday meal a real treat !! 👍👍

I have never been here before but i was very impressed, there were 11 of us and 2 babies. We all had carvery which was wonderfull I'm one of those veggy people who just likes Yorkshire puds, roast potatoes and vegetables,There was a lovely range of vegetables to please my little ❤I'm not quite sure if you can go back for top ups, but none of us needed itwe didn't have room for puddings but what did go passed us looked lovely.I would highly recommend a visit.
