The Vernon in Wychavon

We arrived on the lunchtime of Saturday 21 May. We parked, locked the car, got the family together including kids and elderly, and upon arriving at the doors there was a sign that said "Apologies, no food until further notice". Othe people were arriving to see the same sign, so we all went away. It would have been helpful for them to put the sign at the entrance to the car park, to save everyone parking up and only finding out at the door. Very disappointing.

After a 3 hour walk around Hanbury we were very grateful for the delicious food and excellent service that we received today for our party of 9 at a lunchtime sitting.I ordered the lamb shank which was served with creamed mash potato and leeks. Excellent pub food and would definitely recommend a visit.

Mac n cheese was overly sweet, chicken was disapointing and flavourless and only had 2 halloumi fingers not worth the £17. Wish i had my money back family had thier meals there recently and was not satisfied. Will not be returning

Staff very helpful and polite, food was okay, not happy with the vegetables they were under the meat, few of them and soggy. The sweet had been broken putting on the dish so it looked a mess.

Just called in at lunchtime for a drink. Nice outside seating area, very nice inside and exceptionally friendly staff.

Very nice place to stay. Food was excellent, room was clean and the staff were helpful. Evening meal was always hot, breakfast was cooked to perfection, plus the lady that cooked was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Hotel is situated roughly ten minute drive to Droitwich and a twenty minute drive to Worcester, ideal place to go visit these places from, looking forward to a return visit in the new year.

Regularly drive past but have never gone in until wednesday this week. What a lovely place! Sat outside and was served very good food. Staff friendly and willing to help. Very comfortable inside too. Will definitely go back again.

Disappointing revisit. The menu has increased sharply in price. Not sure that it will be worth it judging by the Fajitas that l had. The guacamole was from a caterers tub. Likewise the chilli sauce on the skillet was not only too fiery but had a taste of the mass-produced. I left much of it. Shame because location is lovely.

Very popular pub and eaterie. Stayed two nights whilst competing in a car rally. On Sunday the lady prepared us a breakfast for four at 6.30am even though usual start was 8am. Couldn't thank her enough.
