Absolutely packed today for Mother’s Day. Clearly not enough chefs working as we had to wait an hour and 5 mins for food. Not much food coming out of the kitchen and staff standing round talking for the whole time we were there.. also had to ask several times for cutlery , sauces and no napkins provided. the food was delicious once it did arrive and good value for money. Customer service needs to be improved and speed!

Tuesday tea time visit, not great experience. Food presentation was poor, execution.unprofessional (some dishes overcooked) service was indifferent, waitresses around the bar chatting when dirty.tables could be cleared. Ambience awful and the sight of a child Riding their bicycle through the dining area was a new experience for me, but at least it encouraged me to be more relaxed when my lad got his device out to play with.I had a pint of Bank's Mild and I have to say it was one of the best pints I have had in years, so definitely an extra star for that.

I went with my partner and two kids and we were made to feel very welcome, the staff were fast and organised plus very polite and friendly and the food was really nice and cooked to perfection. A very family friendly place and will definitely pop in again as we travel to Birmingham once or twice a month.

We was driving past on our way to West Midlands safari Park. When we said that looks a good place to eat afterwards. The outside looked really welcoming. We went in and even tho we didn't have a booking and was busy they found us a table .Staff very friendly and put us close to the children's area as possible.Didn't wait long for food considering busy but would definitely go again .Me my partner. 3 year old daughter and mam in law travelled back to scunthorpe on full stomachs .

So we just came back from the land oak pub. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience there. We were very excited to try their pizza. Saturday night at 5pm we were told there is no any pizzas left??? How is this even possible ???? We have wasted the journey and time... very disappointed...

Arrived with family of 6 at about 7.15. Ordered bottle of wine not available, also not available lasagne, fish, steak. No printed children's menu had to ask to write it down. At 8.25 not able to get dessert as the kitchen was closed. The room was left were previous people had sat with food left on floor. The staff were busy chatting. No manager!Went back next day to give feedback to manager, but again no manager.Asked when would he be in,answer was didn't know. Not a good experience considering it was a quiet at the time and the hospitality is supposed to be suffering Would I go again.NO THANK YOU!!

We decided to eat here after going to West Midlands Safari Park, as this pub offers 20% off food if you show a receipt for the Safair Park.We arrived a little early, so they got our table ready for us and we had a short 10 min wait for it, which was no big issue. We took the kids to the "play area", which wasn't much of a play area - it was a room with a few pay-for kids arcade machines, a couple of touchscreens that you could play games on, and a few bead maze toys. The touchscreens, to be fair, were pretty good and engaging for the kids, but the "play area" was a bit limited.Drinks orders were taken after a little while and the waitress said she'd take our food order "in a minute", about 15-20mins later, again she said she'd take our food order "in a minute". There was also some confusion as to which menu we could order from and we were told they'd run out of roast dinners by 3 or 4 o'clock on a Sunday.Eventually after being there for an hour and considering whether we should just leave, we begged a member of staff to take our food order, which they finally did.The food came out pretty fast after our order was taken and was pretty decent - nothing extra ordinary, just standard pub grub that I'd expect. They honoured our Safari Park receipts, which saved us a few quid.Overall, a bit disappointed with the slow service, but they made up for it by bringing our food out fast. The play area could do with a bit of a revamp!

The best chips in the UK. I love this pub. Staff are always so helpful and friendly. Food is excellent value for money. It's my local and I love it!

Spent ÂŁ55 for three meals and two rounds of drinks which I thought was a good deal. Chips were amazing and crispy. The chicken pizza was good - very healthy and not greasy at all like pizza chains. The buttermilk chicken was really tasty. The Kids Zone was a great little area for my daughter to play around.
