Merchants Fish Bar in Wyre Forest

Fish was good, chips were poor. 3* for food, but lovely to sit by the river so was still a great experience.

So we decided to drive to what was our favourite Fish and chip shop and my Wife ordered our food Fish, large Chips, onion rings, tinned roe, sausage, curry sauce and peas. When we got home my Wife went to dish up only to find NO CHIPS ! I called and spoke to the Manager who was less than helpful and told me my Wife Never ordered chips. I don’t like being called a liar and if they provided an itemised receipt we would be able to tell but all we got was our credit card receipt for £16.90. We will not be using Merchants Fish Bar again 1/10

The food is absolutely lovely here! I will definitely recommend the food here to anyone planning to go to bewdley or in the surrounding area.I came in at dinner today to pick up some food for me, my friend and my boys. While I was waiting for my food my little boy was ill, the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful offering to help me to my car or to go next door to get me some baby wipes to clean my boy up.Amazing customer service and generally very nice people. Will definitely come in again for more lovely food! Thankyou so much for the great food and help😁

It used to be one of my favourite fish and chips. But today I popped in for my favourite squid/calamari rings and found out they don't do it anymore. Menu is changed. I've ordered fish and chips and was very disappointed. Chips were dry and chewy. Fish was ok but also could be better. So it's not one of my favourite fish and chips anymore.

One of the worst fish and chips i've ever had. Slimey tasteless thin fish, oily bland batter, dry chips. Paid £8.70, drove 2 miles to a quiet layby, put football on radio and was so dissapointed. Had to bin them.

Always really helpful and great for gluten free. They are very knowable about allergies and will always offer gluten free fish and chips at any time. As some chips shops will only offer gluten free at non busy times-Thank you Merchants for thinking of the coeliacs too as its fabulous to go and have some fish and chips with your family by the river and to feel very included! You are simply the best -better than all the rest!

Lots of choice, including a big portion of crispy chicken hot wings for only £3.50!And sweet things and ice-cream for pudding. Friendly staff, good social distancing in place. Lovely setting right on the riverside with plenty of seats and tables.

Well first time here today as was recommended while waiting in que for 30 mins. Gotta say the worst chips iv ever had . Looked like poured batter over clumps of potatoes. If wasn't for such massive que I would have taken them back. They were disgusting . They have nerve charging £2.50 for such awful chips . The fish wasn't much to shout about either

I came to this place while I was walking around Bewdley and it has the BEST fish and chips I’ve ever tried in uk so far! Their fish is very fresh and the chips is tasty and well cooked! Also the staff were friendly and welcoming!
