Mitre Oak in Wyre Forest

A really poor overall experience. We “ walked in on the off chance “ to find nearly all tables were reserved but during our time there nobody turned up to sit at these tables so what was the point in reserving. Customers were coming in and there were no tables that didn’t have reserved on them and they left? Where is the sense in this? All this lost revenue. We then endured 1 hours wait to be served overpriced poor quality food. It wasn’t busy as all the tables were reserved and empty!I ordered the cowboy burger which tasted cheap and was served in a crusty sandwich cob. Not the seeded burger bun which lead me to order this meal. A half arsed slice of dry end of tomato on a grainy cheap burger…frozen birds eye burgers are way nicer , it’s not difficult it’s a burger at the end of the day. I ordered 8 onion rings and received 3 and when asked for the remaining 5 never received them.Kids meals peas weren’t fresh they were dry and crumbly.If you can’t cook peas then it’s no wonder everything else was so poor.Even the mens toilets were poor …you can wash your hands but there was nothing to dry them.I will not be returning unfortunately

The staff were very welcoming and were extremely helpful especially Sarah. We explained that this was our first meal out since COVID started and they were extremely sympathetic and accommodating showing us to an area well socially distanced from other diners,even opening an outside door very near to our table to allow air circulation. They totally exceeded our expectations.

We had a really good first experience here. Leah was incredible and helped with our every need which was a lot. Ruby came half way through us eating but was also very lively and helpful. Food was incredible and reasonable priced. Would definitely recommend.

Pat was very helpful and pleasant. The pub was quiet being a Thursday afternoon so we had a choice of seats. Food was good - we had a starter to share, a main each and my daughter had a dessert. Service was great. Would recommend.

just had a family lunch at the Mitre Inn definitely a 5 star, the surroundings bright warm and nice atmosphere , the food arrived quite quickly the presentation a1 hot and tasty at two for one a certain bargain. The young waitress Leah gave us first class service throughout our stay to end a perfect lunch.

The home cooked lasagna was excellent the best I have had in a long time lots of flavour to it and no bulking it out with veg its was how a lasagna supposed to be .the service was top quality to. It was a nice family atmosphere. I will definitely go back again and will recommend to friends and family

Not been for a while, but visited for lunch with friends. Plenty of space, helpful staff and the food was very good, whether fish or steak! Back on form after a little lull, keep it up!

Our Christmas Dinner was perfect! Thoroughly enjoyed!As a care worker working that day absolute bliss to just be able to sit and enjoy my meal before returning to work.Staff were very welcoming and helpful (observed whilst dining) all must’ve been exhausted keeping the system running so smoothly of diners arriving and leaving.Highly recommended and we will be back for seconds, thirds, ………..Huge Thanks to The Mitre Oak Team

We are regular visitors to the Mitre Oak over the past 30+ years. If just like to say full credit to the new landlords - since they've took over you can see a massive effort is being made to make the dining experience as excellent as possible and even the food has improved (chips in particular), and I hope the rewards are reaped. Please keep up the good work and we'll be coming back often :)
