Restaurant at Gainsborough House Hotel in Wyre Forest

Just a word of warning, I booked this hotel months ago as part of a much longer trip. It was supposed to be a 4 night stay, but the hotel cancelled the booking and all I got was an email saying it’s cancelled. No phone call, credit for a future visit or even an apology! So now frantically trying to find a replacement hotel to stay in Kidderminster. It’s the first and last time I will book this hotel if they treat customers like this.

My booking was cancelled 2 days before I was due to stay......Because our room is being given to refugees..... And they are’nt even from Ukraine....What a lovely way to ruin a person’s Holiday plans..... Thanks !

Gainsborough House Hotel were extremely accommodating last minute with our wedding guests. Danny and his team were incredibly helpful and supportive in giving us a quote for our guests. As well as providing us with competitive prices for all our guests, they created a range of rooms ranging from single occupancy to family rooms and triples. The rooms were clean and tidy but could have done with a little modernisation. The breakfast was of a good standard with a nice selection of hot food and plenty of cups of tea and coffee. The staff also looked after lost property after the event when one of our guests forgot something. Thank you for everything Gainsborough!

Great place, friendly and accommodating. Chair lift for first few floors but not after that. Comfortable and clean. Tesco express next door which is handy. Internet not great on top floor but above all great

My husband and myself stayed at the Gainsborough House Hotel for a few nights for our Wedding Anniversary,All staff were very helpful and friendly,Our room was lovely, very clean, large comfortable bed, lovely clean bedding and towels, nice fluffy bath towels (bath sheets).Shame the restaurant wasnt open, but we still had a very enjoyable stay, would highly recommend a stay here.

Miserable guy on reception,Human Hairs on the quilt cover 1 small 1 very large. Lamp didn’t work on desk which I required, grout in between tiles in bathroom orange and mouldy urgh with a bit of effort would clean up nicelyNo complimentary biscuits on arrival (maybe just being picky) cheap coffee sachets and no complimentary breakfast (obviously COVID terrified) as stated and yet same price for rooms. No information in the rooms about hotel or surrounding area. Travel lodge next visit at least you know what yr getting and also friendly helpful staff.

This hotel has no restaurant for evening meals unless you are part of a coach tour with a package including food. Booking.Com has not been amended to correct the misleading message regarding the restaurant but after you book online the hotel deviously sends an email with an attachment informing the customer that the restaurant is closed until further notice. I drove for 2 hours only to be told that this 4 star hotel was not staffed to provide an evening meal which is outrageous!

What a fabulous day for my brothers wedding. Everything was great from the planning, communication, rooms, venue, food and service from all staff including Tim, Danny and Jeff.. and all the bar and restaurant staff, nothing too much trouble! The wedding was fantastic and the room looked amazing you did a great job. Thank you for everything.

Stayed here on business and loved it. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the towels were delightfully fluffy. The staff were also super friendly and provided an excellent level of service!I'm the girl who got mistaken for a member of staff because I was wearing a black T-shirt near reception. The staff were very polite and quick in correcting the customer.

Overall it was a pleasant stay ! Check in was very fast and the receptionist was friendly and helpful with eatery recommendations! Room was clean and decent sized even with a nice view ! The only thing is that the kettle gets super hot and I burned my arm a little ! It’s a health and safety issue! Please replace the kettle ! Thank you .
