Sun and Slipper in Wyre Forest

Enjoyed great food from an extensive menu. Service was excellent. Bar bill a little expensive, especially for the coffees.

We ate here last night. The dining room is beautiful nice, light and immaculate. The ladies that served us were lovely especially the girl who took our bill a credit to your team. Both starters were nice I had the garlic mushrooms and my husband had the pate. For my main I had the fillet steak and my husband had the calves liver. Mine was beautiful so rich and a real treat. Half way through eating I noticed my husband had not ate all of his, which is very unlike him, I asked him why and he said that when he cut into the second calves liver it was pumping out blood and kinda put him off. I felt bad for him and shared my steak and in return nicked some of his homecooked chips which were amazing, so good. My husband ordered the calves liver as this is something I'd never cook at home, so I have no idea if it's supposed to be pumping with blood or not. We still had a lovely night and would definitely recommend the sun and slipper. We were so full we didn't manage a pudding but they looked amazing.

An hidden gem set off the main road and easy just to sail by however visit once and you'll come back again well balanced menu with traditional and specialist fish dishes cooked with sauces to crave about - The Chef and owner can seriously cook great food - Five star plus recommendation

Fantastic place. Cannot fault the food. Proper home cooked. Chefs pastry second to none. Wendy Roger and staff lovely, hardworking and very accommodating. Cant praise them enough.

Lovely local pub where everyone knows everyone else and the service is great. Highly recommended for anyone going past to drop in for a pint and a meal!

Top notch Roast Dinner in the lovely Dining room. Attentive and friendly service. Pub also has Robinson's Flagon on tap too.

My husband and I first went to the sun n slipper July 2018. We were so impressed we’ve continued to go regularly for our meals if we go out. We had our Xmas lunch there which was impeccable. The atmosphere,service, and homely feeling was great. By far the best Xmas lunch we have had for 2 yrs in comparison to where we had been previously. We enjoyed it so much we actually and went again for New Year’s Eve meal. Again great food lovely atmosphere. Always felt very welcome. We’ve booked again for our Xmas lunch for 2019. Wendy and her staff are so nice . And of course not forgetting Roger the chief of course fantastic chief. Wishing them all a happy new year.

Fantastic food and staff really accommodating and dog friendly which is awesome!! Lovely walk down the canal up to the reservoir too
