A last minute stop here and even though they were fully booked the managed to squeeze us in. They could of not been more accommodating even doing nuggets when they don't normally do them on a Sunday for our little daughter. As for the food one of the best carvery we have had for a long time. Good old fashioned customer service go a long way and we will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Lunchtime carvery exceptional. Really good fresh food cooked to perfection. Starters, main course and sweet. Choice of 3 meats and numerous vegetables. Staff very polite, covid measures in place, surroundings nice and clean. Will be visiting again.

Everything perfect!! Service, food, price, quality and hospitality. I've never given a review before, but the fox has exceeded any carvery I've been to. Keep it up, you deserve queues out the door!

Had a wonderful Christmas / birthday meal here. Food was excellent, as was the beer. Standard cost not expensive, not cheap either. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Really good atmosphere in the place. Chef had a good sense of humour. Plenty of free parking. Look forward to going again.

Friendly staff. Nice pub. Carvery fairly ordinary but nothing wrong with it . The roast potatoes were nice however. Fairly expensive for a midweek carvery . Half a pint of draught diet coke and carvery was £14.75. My usual carvery midweek is a total of £11.64 for a 2 course - carvery and dessert ( £9.99) plus a diet coke £1.65 and is better all round - except for the roast potatoes !

The three stars here are purely for the fantastic carvery. Fantastic food and an incredible selection of meats.Unfortunately it lost two stars as the service was very hit and miss. Also, considering we’re still in a pandemic, you are squashed in with so many other tables. Some in our party are particularly vulnerable to the disease, so it was a tad disappointing.Car park spacious, nice setting.

fantastic festive 3 course Friday meal. Staff looked after us and made sure we got served and well taken care of. Good selection of meat and veg on the carvery with the happy chef dishing out good portions. Merry Christmas

Now this is what you call a "secret find" 👀. On Mondays between 12:00 hrs and 14:00hrs - go there and get your lunch for £5. Yes, we got a Calvary for £5. That was one course, 2 courses costs £10. And who cooks the lunch? Only "Ben", the manager... see picture. (No they did not pay me to post this). The food was faultless and fresh. I was told by "Tony" to fill my boots, (metaphorical plate) but a normal meal size was still a bargain for me.This place was recommended to me by a friend. She was spot on. However, we got the jackpot buy going at the cheapest time, as stated above.Warning: even though we got there on the offchance. The sitting was full. Hopefully, they will extend it to other days. Book before you go to avoid disappointment.Incidentally, I saw 2 blokes who carefully ordered the "Golden Brie Parcel". I saw the plates coming out and they were well presented. So much so that I went over to the men. One said it tasted terrible! With a sly grin. I think that translates into... Don't order the Golden Brie Parcel, cos I want more later.😀😀😀Tip: make sure you order the Golden one when you come here.....and say hi to Elliot, at the bar!!Definitely bargain find of the week. "That was more than nice"
