Waitress informed us upon sitting down outside that there would be wait on food as all of their microwaves were down.I asked what items are not cooked in the microwave and she could only tell me the baguettes were not microwaved. All their food is precooked, vacuum bagged and reheated in a microwave. Chef mic had given up, and so had we. Would never eat here and this is a warning to anyone else who wants reheated microwaved food. Gordon Ramsay would have had a field day here. Absolutely disgusting.

Celia and Freya made my mother in law a special "hot" hot chocolate just for her.....and put her name on it too......mother in-law loved the special service😃 despite never having set foot in the place😀

Had an evening meal Thursday and lunch today. Both meals were excellent. Well cooked , presented and large portions

Lovely pub . Great jacket potatoes. Takes dogs in bar. Old Smithy Tearoom great too for a cuppa after lovely walk along canal. Dog friendly too.

They had a special offer on their burgers with a choice of meat, vegetarian or vegan) and they did not disappoint. Sat enjoying a meal in the main bar in front of a cozy log burner. Great end to a walk

We had to moor up at Wolverley due to unforeseen circumstances which thankfully turned out okay in the end.Our treat afterwards was a lovely drink at The Lock Inn and two portions of chips.A very pretty pub even though it's right on a busy main road from Wolverley village which crosses the canal with Wolverley Bridge. If you wanted a pub right on the canal, this is it...Wolverley Lock is right next to the the bridge and close to the road! You can watch the canal boaters coming up or going down on the outside seating area which has lovely tables and umbrellas. Say hello to the canal boaters whilst you're here and great place to see all the different style and decorations of the canal boats. The Lock Inn pub is a fascinating place and the building dates back to the 16th-C when it was Cottages apparently. Converted over the years to a pub. They told me that The Lock Inn predates the canal itself, wow and hard to believe as it feels as it is part of the canal ...!The staff were friendly and welcoming and the chips and drinks were perfect. Thanks Lock Inn for the relaxing experience to unwind our earlier worries of the day!We had a quick peek into the Old Smithy Tearoom on the way back to our moorings and it looked lovely, maybe next time when we're back here again on the canal.

5 stars. I read most of the reviews before deciding to go in. The local experience with the landlady, old nick and a pair of father and daughter mechanics left us in hysterics. What a great atmosphere. We laughed Al the time. Plus the beer absolutely beautiful. Evening meal for both of us was truly fantastic and filling. Well done you at the Lock Inn. We will be back.

It's a very picturesque pub settled right on the canal. You can sit outside and watch the narrow/barge boats navigate through the lock. The food is what I would call real pub food and very tasty good choice of ales. Also very handy for the campers at the Wolverley Caravan & Camping Site.

Lovely staff and ok food. Nothing special but good traditional pub grub. Sitting right next to the lock makes it that bit special

Great little pub next to the lock.Had the bacon/cheese burger and my wife had the 5 bean burger. Both really tasty and very filling.Nice little icecream hut over the lock too.
