The Old Beams in Wyre Forest

Really good food here and at a fair price I would say ,All set in a smashing old building & I should know as I grew up in this building when it was a farmhouse !

Lovely food, very fresh, only one little problem they forgot the red onion in the beetroot, red onion and tomato salad

I've never been to an eatery that had as bland food as here. Everything from the burger and the dry chicken... to even the chips and the week old coleslaw. It looks like a nice place to drink, just a shame the food they sell is not edible

Wanted somewhere nice for a birthday meal for two. This building has been converted well from it's former house, it was a pleasent atmosphere even though it was quiet, being Thursday and not school holiday this was expected. There is a good garden area with seating too. My husband had the Slow Cooked Jalfrezi with Rice, Naan & Poppadom & I had the Chargrilled Pea-Based Burger with Mushrooms & Monterey Jack Cheese - they were both served lovely and hot and both very tasty. So nice to have meals that were not just microwave meals (or as we call them, ping meals!) I would have given them 5* but would have liked to see more vegetarian/vegan meals on the menu. Would recommend this pub & yes, we'll be back again.

Good service and food from an imaginative menu. My only criticism would be that the music was a bit loud (but I didn't ask for it to be turned down so accept partial blame). Friendly staff and dog friendly, a good stopover whilst waking the river.

Lunch time meal booked. Arrived early, but staff happy for us to leave our cars whilst going for a walk into Stourport. We ordered gammon, burgers, pizza plus kids meals. All the food arrived quickly and was tasty.

Visited today with a friend from Birmingham….we hadn’t booked but I had been several times before with my husband & had always had a good meal, but this time was awful. We both ordered scampi which was served quickly but scampi was burnt & some of my tasteless chips were black! I should have complained straight away I know, but when I went to pay I said to the barman that it was the worst meal I had had at The Beams & was disappointed because I had recommended the pub to my friend. He wasn’t bothered but I just got a half hearted sorry. Will not be visiting or recommending again.

Booked table through open table. Arrived at the pub to be told no booking received.. oh but can fit you in...This was at ten to 5. Drinks order taken and menus given and then no more. ..25 past 5 we left pub no drink no food. Nice chat with a couple at side of us who said we had been very patientThis was old beams chance of redeeming themselves after last bad experience. Will be a verrrrry tllong time before I go again..Such a shame as a lovely palce.

Really disappointed with our visit here this month. After 30 minutes I asked if it was table service or do we order at the bar, was told they come over. No further table service received rest of our stay, we felt invisible. Staff all behind bar area chatting and not attending to guests. Very strange and such a shame. Was not worth the money for this poor service.

Visited during the COVID19 period so not sure whether this is how their food usually taste like.Nothing bad to say, 3 stars for average pub food.The safety and hygiene measure is good to ensure customers safety during the period but the place is nice. Enjoyed the nice, warm weather outside.
