Nice old pub in Blake down, very friendly service and good value. 2 mains for £12 across sections of the menu, I had a beef roast which was excellent quality and value. Over 30 minute wait for the food was the only downer but it was a busy Sunday lunchtime.

This place is what value good food is all about. 2 fish and chips perfect meal for a quick lunch. Friendly and prompt. I'll be going back soon. Lots of people seemed to be driving so might I suggest a few more alcohol free options ? Not a moan just cherry on the cake 🙂

Fabulous night with friends. Great food at reasonable prices; good choice of drinks at the bar and very friendly courteous staff. Cant wait to go back again.

Been here 3 times now. Nice pub with good food at sensible prices. They do a good pint of Tribute, cider is also good. Would have given it 4 stars, but the gents toilet is in serious need of a makeover. It is not good.

We were staying in the Premier Inn nearby and passed this place on the way to West Midlands safari Park. We called in on the way back for a drink and to look at the menu. The lady who was serving was so friendly and helpful!The food in the evening was really tasty and so reasonably priced, again the staff were really friendly. We'll definitely come back again the next time we're in the area

Always great food and service here. We had our first Christmas dinner here this year and we will definitely be booking again. Staff are always pleasant and helpful very tentative but you never feel rushed either or you're putting them out if you want an extra condiment. Thanks guys you will see us again soon.

Great pub food at very reasonable prices, highly recommend the fish and chips in the two meals for 10.99 deal, excellent. Friendly staff and always a table to be found. Clean and tidy, too.

I have been to this loveley friendly staffed pub a couple of times in the last month & it's a really traditional warm feeling pub on the edge off the countryside. The food menu is a good variety too & on a week day they have bar snacks which are massive filled crusty cobs of ham, cheese, etc really nice with a cider or two! Will be going there again as I love the atmosphere in there too.

My wife and I tried the Old House At Home for the first time this lunchtime. We were made very welcome by the young man who was serving drinks and food.The Cider was perfect.Our food was served in double quick time and was perfect in every way. Two good meals for £10.99. Wow.We will definitely be returning there again.Thanks to all the staff.
