Once again, a beautifully cooked Sunday lunch for 5 of us. Top quality meats, fresh tasty vegetables, served piping hot with yorkshire puddings, stuffing, proper gravy and all served on warm plates. Thank you so much. Looking forward to our next visit. xxx

Called for lunch having wanted to go inside this charming looking place for years.Not as much attention to appearances inside. Very quiet in the middle of lunch time yet despite there only being one other person in the room it took the bartender over 10 minutes to confirm whether food was still available (well inside the times advertised outside)Having been given the small menu board we were left for another 15 minute. At that point, we ought to have bailed but hunger got the better of us so we ordered mushroom stews. A very long wait later (still no more customers) the food arrived. Plenty of mushrooms but a thin, underseasoned stew with a distinct cheap wine not cooked long enough theme.It wasn't expensive. There's plenty of parking. Beer wasn't awful.

Great atmosphere and surroundings. With live music and great guiness, what more could you want in a beautiful village pub.

Catered for my husbands birthday party. Food was fabulous. Lots of options. We chose a variety of curries and it was the perfect choice. Enjoyed by all who attended. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Had a delicious Sunday lunch there today. Everything cooked to perfection. Lovely friendly staff too who made us and our dog feel very welcome . Will definitely be going back .

Went on pizza night (Tues) and they were great and well priced. Lovely back garden to sit in with lights. Service was a little slow but very pleasant and we weren't in a rush. Would definitely go again

Recently booked a table and due to covid we were told to expect a bit of a delay which was fine as we all understand the challenges this has brought. We sat at our table and waited patiently for an hour before we had to ask if we could get a drink, so, table booked for 13.00 ignored until we got a waitress attention at 14.00, finally able to order food and got it 15.15. My wife's meal came about 14.30 with no cutlery and had to eat her quiche and salad with her fingers. The cutlery arrived when i got my microwaved fries by then she had finished , The waitress were doing their best but unfortunately something went very wrong with the management of the meals. Booked in advance and left very disappointed . Tried the roll, other than that this is how it was presented .

Great music venue when permitted. The flowers we put outside are in remembrance to a true and great friend who used to live here. The new landlady gave us permission to lay flowers outside. Hopefully the new landlady and family have better new year. Thanks to the landlady for this. 🍺
