Watermill in Wyre Forest

Cuisine: British

Buzzy pub in a pretty waterside setting, with outside seating and a menu of classic bar food.

We arrived at 2.30pm we were greeted and seated by a lovely lady who took our drink order unfortunately after that the experience was terrible. We waited 40 minutes before having to flag someone down to ask if we could order our food as no one bothered coming back to ask us. Our food came another 50 minutes later which is ridiculous. The food itself was lovely its just a shame it took so long! The staff all stood around the bar taking and slagging off the manager, oblivious to everyone waiting to order.

The building inside and out has that vintage feel to it and they have repurposed it well. Staff were very attentive. Food was good. Would recommend.

Greeted my staff member who was clearly unhappy to be working, with zero manners or eye contact. Only wanted light lunch, but as was Sunday the menu was restricted, not a problem, we ordered starters, kids meals and some drinks. Chicken dippers and other fried items were very dark from being over fried. I ordered French onion soup, mistake!! It was basically a think onion gravy with a slice of bread. Couldn't eat it. The table staff were courteous and removed it from our bill when I asked. Wouldn't go back for food, and would only recommend to those desperate to avoid washing up!

Friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Lovely food and speedy service. Only disappoint was they ran out of a couple of items on the menu but this was understandable as it was very busy. Would definitely make a return visit

Been here a few times, love the outdoors by the canal and the inside feels cosy. The for is mediocre as it is a Marston's but staff are friendly and good for drinks. My partner had three bad experiences but the restaurant contacted us and restored out faith, mega meals are value for money definitely.

Pub itself is lovely. Wish more could be said for the food and service.Although it’s 2-for-1 on mains, we both had curry and could tell it was a ready meal, paid extra for chips as the £16.55 meal didn’t come with any.Ordered fish and chips: the fish wasn’t fresh and looked double over cooked. Had to ask for a fresh one, then had to ask for the side of chips that wasn’t sent, they arrived after the meal was finished. No one asked if the food was okay and had to ask for extra sauce and our missing side dishes.Table wasn’t checked on during our meal as another round of drinks would of also been great.Booked a table for eight but after waiting ten minutes to be shown to our table there was only seven chairs.Won’t be visiting again. Food wasn’t up to standard.

The staff were extremely friendly and tentative, moved our table for us to allow more room, even offered us a more expensive dish as the one we’d ordered was past its best. Brilliant night and would definitely recommend.

A Marston's pub so a good choice of draught Ales, though wines were limitedGood, well cooked pub classics, and no waiting !Staff were very friendly and all were wearing masks.Definitely a step above the normal in being Covid safe and careful - drinks served on tray, Condiments and cutlery too.Portions were large and to beat everything 2 for 1 on meals meant excellent valueBest to book at weekends, it was very busy when we went on a Friday evening.November 26th update - 2 weeks later.Totally different. All covid precautions have been dropped. Service was poor. My dessert (apple pie) was lukewarm.Very disappointing.

Amazing building to look at from the outside from the main road on the bridge, or from the car park out the front, which entices you inside to an equally glamorous interior! Online booking is quick and easy, and upon arrival you get seated quickly. Service is just as on point and served with a smile and professionalism. The food is very decent quality (for a chain pub), and is hot, tasty, and keeps the palette happy throughout the meal. Drinks were of high quality too, and they have a large of both food and drinks available. With dining offers applied, bringing the total bill to a reasonable ÂŁ32 for two people, I would highly recommend the pub to passers-by and locals alike!
