Black Lion Hotel in Carmarthenshire

Every time I come here I get a great meal. Its a lovely homely pub with great nar meals and carvery. I ride TET motorbike routes and whenever I'm passing this is the place to have a meal a d be on ur way

My friends have been recommending the Black Lion to me for ages. So glad I accepted my friends invite to a meal there. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Parking was easy, welcome wall. Well done to all the staff.

Lovely pub is gorgeous West Wales. Good pint, good service. The food looked great. Large juicy burgers and big portions. It was a very comfortable, welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

The Black Lion was recommended by the hosts where we were staying.....we were not disappointed. Food was simple but delicious, no fancy frills, if that's what you like, just a perfect home cooked menu.The staff were great too all round 👍

Quiet Wednesday afternoon able to just sit in and order lunch. All homemade, chips best i ever had, had chicken wrapped in bacon and cheese with salad and chips, great home cooked food in a real old authentic pub. Sunday lunch is said to be impressive will try another wk, well worth the visit. X

It's in a tiny remote village and we stumbled across it after a long, wet walk in Brechfa forest... But what a feast! We couldn't believe the amount of lovely home-cooked food for our Sunday lunch. The puddings - if you can find room - were also excellent. You won't be disappointed!

Superb. Excellent food and so friendly and our dog en joyed his visits. Such a good pub we went 3 times during our holiday.Highly recommended especially the creamy garlic mushrooms and Irish coffees. 😊

Incredible food, huge selection on the menu, large portions, excellent value for money, very friendly and welcoming staff, very dog friendly, just loved everything about our experience here. We loved it so much, we came back again the following day and it was just as good!! Highly recommend this place, especially the home cooked chips... these were to die for!!!

We arrived at the Black Lion soaked to the skin, cold and dripping following 6 hours of cycling through the rain. The pub was an oasis of cheer and activity as takeaway Sunday lunches were dispatched to locals from around the district. We were made welcome and fed royally with the half and half Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. We were so full we had to put the pudding on our bikes. Lush!
