Brewers Fayre - Sandpiper, Llanelli in Carmarthenshire

We stopped in for coffee and dessert on a cold day. We told the host this. She sighed heavily, waited a moment as if deciding whether or not to allow us in, then took us to the bar area of the nearly empty restaurant.She pointed to a dirty table and walked away.My wife and I sat, looked at the menu, waited, could see that no one would be coming for our order, ever, and left.Two stars is generous.

Super lunch with my daughter and grandchildren. Food was very good. Small safe play area outdoor and indoor for little ones. Beautiful walk around the lake.

Food was good and staff were friendly as usual, but service was unusually slow.

Lovely meal and a large portion Both myself and my partner has the sausage and mash veggie sausages for me, was lovely just needed more gravy but I'm sure if we had asked for more we would of got it

The evening was quieter. Sitting in the adult area lovely to catch up with friends. Lovely food although they have a continuous list of food not available, still enough choice. Lovely view over the lake as the sun was setting. Would recommend. Also discount for NHS staff.

My friend's meal was very nice. However my meal was terrible and I fed it to the dog. They didn't have haddock and asked if pollock was OK instead...I said yes. There was more batter than fish. The fish was very very thin and small and overcooked ti make the batter crispy. My salad was more a garnish....it consisted of a couple of dry pieces of lettuce and two small segments of tomato. None of it dressed! No peas on plate. And chips were not very nice. I have had this meal several times at the Sandpiper and each time it was delicious. The whole meal was disgusting and should never have been served to me. If the meals cannot be reliably consistent and delicious, then all staff should be trained ti the same standard. Very unhappy!

Visited today arong 5 pm. Very poor quality of food and service, crunchy fish and breaded mushrooms you could literally break a window with. It's got to be one of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. Starting to look a little grubby inside tables by me were all empty but food was all over the floor from previous customers and not cleaned up plus table was sticky and napkins were stuck to the table.
