High Tide Fish and Chip Bar & Restaurant in Carmarthenshire

Stopped here for a takeaway last night. Price was good food was terrible. Sausage was rock hard chips were dry and hard. Had a rissiole with only potatoe in it? Whats that about? Jeepers. Wont be visiting again.

Wasn't as bad as all the reviews, not amazing but not horrendous. Batter was soggy but the fish was ok.Chips were nice, plus it was the only place open locally so actually it was pretty good!Pricing was still realistic too so not a chippy trying to think it's a bistro restaurant.

Waited hour and half for delivery so I rang them for them to say it will be with us in 10, they phone me 15 minutes later to tell me its going to be another 15 minutes, although it was cooked half hour before. Absolutely shocking service. Avoid at all costs. Only given one star as zero wasn't available

We ordered two regular cod and chips . There were plenty of chips which were ok , unfortunately the cod was poor . Very flat and small about the size of a squashed rissole !! , it was overdone as if it had been left over and re fried . Not very good at all . We won’t be going back .inside looked like it needed a good clean , dirty floors and smeared glass fronts on the hot cabinets . The prep area looked grubby and untidy . 👎🏻

It was the worst fish and chips I ever had ever over cooked chips fish batter was soggy couldn't find the fish and it all to be cooked freshly Mrs had kebab and all good its not a chippy more like Indian takeaway very disappointed a

My wife and I were in Llanneli and decided to stop and try as it looked nice from the outside. Big mistake, very unhygienic looking place, 2 half eaten meals sat on a table with flies buzzing round in the restraint area with no one bothering to them away, pans in the kitchen looked like they hadn't been washed in months. Fish was oily and awful, chips disgusting, threw into the bin where it belonged. I believe from other reviews this place has new owners so maybe used to be different but we won't be going back again.

Ordered a veg burger and ended up with a chicken burger, no apology when I rang to ask for the burger I actually ordered. Food was also late and rest of it was cold. Used to be a great takeaway but has gone downhill so won’t be ordering from here again.

After reading a couple of bad reviews, I wasn't expecting too much. I was pleasantly surprised.Excellent and highly attentive service. We asked for 2 x standard size cod and chips. Just one of those would have fed both us and someone else besides. Loads of chips.I would have given it 5 stars if the chips had be more well-done and crisp.

Was having a lovely chat with the chef, and seeing that I couldn't decide between a spicy curry or some fish, he was like "I got you fam" and made me a special dish off the menu, a cod with a spicy massala batter! and it was delicious! the fillet was tender and full of flavour and the batter, while not too spicy, had a lovely interesting flavours within it's crisp layers, really amazing! I opted not to go for the chips as i'm on a diet, but will definitely come back to ask for this!Try asking for a spicy massala batter and hopefully they'll make another one, would recommend!

I ordered Chicken Tikka & Chips and it was delicious! The chips were soft and crispy and the chicken tikka cooked to perfection and flavoursome! Will definitely go back again it’s my regular go to now !! 100% recommended!
