New Stepney Hungry Horse in Carmarthenshire

I think the best thing about Hungry Horse pubs is the consistency in the menu, no matter which one you go to. There's always a range of meals for veggies, gluten-free, low cal etc. 🌱The portions are good for the prices paid, and they have good offers on, on various days of the week. 🍔🍺The meal photographed is the vegetarian Tikka Tower, with battered cauliflower pieces, fries, flatbread, poppadom, curry sauce and mango chutney. You don't get a full poppadom, which I thought was weird 🤷‍♀️ but the meal is filling as it is. I don't like how the meal is served on a wooden board. Surely a ceramic plate would be more hygienic and easier to clean.🍽️The location of this one is ok - close to pay and display and bus station. Shops and theatre nearby. Some outdoor seating.🍹🌤️They always seem short staffed in this pub so I never phone to book a seat, just do it online as the phone just rings as there aren't enough staff to answer it. The staff are always friendly and helpful (even though they're rushed off their feet). 🏻‍♀️🏃An all-round decent pub for some decent grub 👍

Go here every Monday and Friday. 7 of us meet for a coffee and catch up, and sometimes a cheeky little drinkExcellent service and really friendly staff.Would especially like to mention Chantell who has got to know exactly what we order and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Came here for dinner before going to the cinema. Sadly the food wasn't up to scratch. I ordered the burgers and chips. The chips weren't hot, the burgers were small. My wife got the chicken breast kebab and apparently it was chicken but didn't taste like it. The service was good though. Shame it was let down by the food.

Lovely meal, and the lady behind the bar was so lovely and happy. Just so nice to have someone there that seemed like they wanted to be there.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Beautifully cooked, a very reasonable price and friendly helpful staff.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful Monday lunch visit. We felt very comfortable and the service we received was exceptional. The lady behind the bar was very attentive and the other lady who served us food was very well cooked. We really enjoyed and we are definitely coming back! Keep up the good work you are doing.

A really nice experience. The staff were very helpful and informative The assistant manager made us feel very welcome.Lunchtime meal Gammon tasted very good, followed by Apple crumble. Price was excellent especially for us over 60's. We will bee back :-)

not much variety for the breakfast menu but nice enough handy if your staying at the travellodge
