I love this hotel as does my frenchie, Rolo. A very warm welcome here on a most hot and humid holiday.

Great small and friendly hotel.Excellent staff, comfortable room (and bed!).Dexter's restaurant adjoins the hotel - the steaks my wife and I had were probably the best we have ever had......GO!

The bedrooms in the main hotel are beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and nice. We were spoiled with a home cooked breakfast every morning, as was our Labrador who really enjoyed his stay (and sausages). A beautiful location in Laugharne, it is also an excellent base to travel to other areas of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

What a lovely place and I mean the hotel as well as the village. I wrote a brilliant review a few weeks ago on trip advisor based on our first visit but it wouldn’t let me do another. The first wasn’t an excetption. Really lively hotel and a great location! Different and great room again. Food absolutely perfect. Rob and Liz went above and beyond as usual. Might have to make this a monthly chill out visit. Perfect in every way! Thanks guys.

We ate in the bar area, which was light and airy, excellent service. My wife had chicken which she declared as excellent and really tasty. Unfortunately my Dexter sirloin was let down by a chef who didn't know how to cook rare. Use

Very cosy and tastefully done. Not too OTT on decor or memorabilia, as so many places are these days. We had flat-iron steaks, which were superb. Alert: prepare for meat overload, not to say this was quantity over quality. It's just that you don't expect such a big steak when ordering a flat-iron. However, because they had thoughtfully cut it into strips, it was perfrectly done (deliberately pink, as advertised) all the way through, which isn't always the case with some so-called steakhouses these days. It tempts me to try their Chateaubriand options next time, which will certainly happen, following this superb break at a fine, old yet nicely understated hotel in this peaceful but very friendly village.

Fantastic stay! The team there were brillint. Attention to detail and just how friendly and chatty everyone was - brilliant! The friendliness and helpfulness of the people there made the stay - this is what makes a stay truly exceptional and priceless! From the moment that we checked in we were loked after by everyone in the team. Space to park the car, a lovely comfortable and quiet room. Beers in the bar were great, as were the G&T's. Dinner was truly exceptional - we were taken through the menu (my wife is dairy & gluten intolerant) and that meant that the chef could prepare the d/f and g/f equivalent of my meal. Starter perfect and the Dexter beef Chateaubriand we shared was amazing - the side and chips were too! The organic wine we had accompanied dinner perfectly, Breakfast was great as well, plenty of choice and again my wife was more than catered for. What made the whole stay was the people and the way that they made us feel.Room - Super bathroom and loads of hot water, Super comfortable bed

This was a 'bucket list' visit to an iconic location. Our visit lived up to expectation with very pleasant service of a well kept Hobgoblin beer.Thank you Brown's for completion of a long held wish to visit.

This hotel is excellent! Beautiful location, the rooms are amazing, the staff couldn't be more helpful and on top of that, the food was out of this world. The breakfast in the hotel was really filling and delicious and their restaurant was the perfect choice for dinner. You can tell that they care about using the best local produce. We wished we had stayed a bit longer! Laugharne is a small but gorgeous village.
