We visited this pub without doing much research or knowing what to expect. It just so happened to be the queen's jubilee and they had the best dessert. Pavlova with either cream or ice-cream went down a treat. The mixed grill was fine and the lamb chops were delicious. The waitress staff were friendly and the manager corrected a mistake with the bill without any argument or fuss.Next time I'm in the area, I shall be sure to visit again.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at the Red Lion Inn, we booked in advance and all the staff were very welcoming and really friendly. Some tasty ales available and the roast dinners were excellent! We all had the roast beef which was mouth-wateringly tender, with a selection of fresh veg massive Yorkshire puddings and gorgeous roast potatoes 🤤The dessert choice was huge! And so good.Very attentive service at our table, checking we were ok and enjoying our meal, more drinks etc. we thoroughly enjoyed it and it was the perfect birthday celebration for my elderly dad! 🎉Will definitely recommend and be dining here again, thank you to all.

So we went there are weren't expecting it to be as nice inside as it was. This place has a lot going for it and is deservedly popular, definitely used by locals and I would also recommend it to visitors. I would consider booking because at the weekend, especially is summer I would imagine I gets very busy. The portions are good, too good for any of is to manage puddings! The food was good too (the prawn cocktail looked huge)Staff are friendly and venue nice and an asset to the area.So why not 5 *? The vegetable lasagne is, in my opinion, inedible. I can understand they may have wanted to do something different (nice in principle) but it does not work on any level.I would definitely go back but order something else.

Nice homely pub just to go specifically for a nice meal. Would have had the £21 steak but my sister suggested the ham chips and egg which was terrific!Prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms starters was amazing too. Will definitely return on my next visit to Wales.

It had potential. All the food was cooked fresh from scratch. However, with a bit more attention to details it could be so much better. The home made chips was not crisp enough. The steak was ok. The portion of lasagna was so small that I thought they had split the portion for my two kids. My plaice with cockles is a good recipe. If the plaice hadn't been drown in deep sea of butter, I would have given a better review. Staff were great. My husband wasn't keen on their draft, as he thought it was a bit off.
