We didn't get around to eat here, however we stayed 2 nights in our camper. So peaceful, stunning views and the owners are so helpful and accommodating. Will be back for sure!

Best place to eat, food is always excellent especially the steaks and gammon. its always busy there which says it all really so sometimes there is a wait for food as one would expect for home cooked food. afterall, its not mcdonalds!! Owners and staff are always friendly and ready for a chat. looking forward to our next visit .

Lovely place for a pub but such a shame ya so run down, went for food on New Years Eve expecting a lot from the reviews but was left really upset that we had wasted our New Years here. There were no waiters/waitresses to serve us when we arrived so we sat down and the bar man turned a blind eye as we waited for menu’s and drinks, talking to regulars at the bar. Eventually I had to go up and ask for menus and he said he hadn’t noticed us but he had clearly seen us there. When we eventually got our food my lasagne was severely undercooked and the peas were cold and hard. My boyfriends ‘korma’ was just mush and tasted of nothing. The chips were okay but nothing special. All in all we were disgusted by the poor service and disappointing food.

The decor is like stepping back into the 70s or early 80s, but the food is fantastic. Nice, friendly place. Dress warm if going in the winter as the weather up there can be pretty harsh.

Lovely home cooked food good size portions, have been back a few times trying different things off the menu, all have been lovely. Would have given 5 stars but it can bee a little cold there

Lovely place for a good meal, home made food including the chips, homely atmosphere, great views. Ignore the LITTLE people who say they hate it. It's a great place for a meal and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Try it and enjoy!

Found the Scottish pine during the week whilst at work and decided to drive up with my wife and granddaughter on Sunday for lunch. Nice friendly welcome from landlady and sat outside enjoying the beautiful views over the valley. Was a bit surprised to find the they don't do a Sunday roast in 'summer' but they do offer a basic but with choice menu from which we picked the Scampi, lasagne and childs Ham and chips which was all good. Overall a very nice pub meal and friendly staff, we will be back .PS the décor is NOT terrible as previously stated but is a bit 70's adding to the charm of the place!
