A warm welcome from staff and locals. A varied menu which consisted of good home cooked food. Excellent value for money and really tasty, including the vegetarian options.I would highly recommend this pub as a friendly informal one serving really good meals

One of my favourite Public houses , always made to feel welcome, very clean with well kept beers and lagers , reasonable prices for a Public house large carpark excellent.

Having Sunday lunch here is like having it served up at your uncle and auntie's. A refreshing change from the chain pub experience. Lush.

Went to the Square and Compass for the Wednesday Carvery 12 midday to 2.00. This is a very homely pub and the Carvery was lovely. I had the Roast Pork with apple sauce and lovely fresh vegetables of Cauliflower, Carrots, Peas, Roastand Mashed Potatoes with home made gravy. They also have a Dessert menu with Home made Apple Pie and Custard and a White Chocolate Roulade to name a few. Would certainly visit again when in the area.
