Tafarn Tanerdy in Carmarthenshire

Really nice place, friendly staff and nice looking food. Unfortunately thats where it ends, the food when it came did look good...misleading unfortunately as everything was cold....they had forgot one of our meals completely only starting to prepare it 10 minuets after everyone else had their food when we had to ask where it was! Then a pube (yes a short curly black PUBE!!) Was found in my burger...we told the wait staff who appologised and took the food away, 5 minuets later they returned apologised again and informed me that the kitchen had closed so they wouldnt be able to replace it so they took it off the bill! Now I completely understand that this isnt the fault of the wait staff but I was left with a group of people being the only one without any food!! Unfortunately as this was my first time ever going here it has left a negative imprint and I dont think I will be back. This is my personal experience and many others have had a good dealing with this restaurant however I will deffinately not be back anytime soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break although not for long, the outdoor seating comes with a pleasant view and plenty of space. Indoors it was cool and inviting, once again seating had lots of space and felt comfortable. Caring staff showed concern relating to a car in the carpark containing a distressed dog. They searched for the vehicle owners to make them aware of the problem. Very well done.

Polite and helpful staff. Portion was a bit tight, had the smallest jacket potato side Ive ever seen. Everything cooked ok and tasted good.Kiddie chicken was a bit overdone so texture was crunchy than normal otherwise ok.Had food before here the same and was a lot different this time round...Il go with just a bad day

Great place. Food real good value for money. Ordered the taverns burger and upgraded to extra chicken breast as in other pubs its quite a thin breast. Here each breast was 1-1.5inch thick! Loads of bacon too!!Dog was welcome and staff came with water and offered treats.Didn't realise it was self service for sauce and cutlery but staff grabbed them for us without issue.Better thank expected!

The food is excellent and the service was amazing, 6 of us eating and we all had our starter's and mains at the same time, which is virtually on heard of these days. Well impressed!

First I was shocked by the size of the pub as I thought it was a small little tavern, but inside was was surprisingly big, with lots of tvs.Staff were welcoming and friendly.But best of all was the food... Omg... Hats off to the chef.Gravy was nice and thick, swede had a nice peppery taste to it, the beef was tender, others had the turkey and pork and they said that was tasty too. The massive Yorkshire puddings and the pigs in blankets.... Oh my mouth is watering now...Puddings are good too if you can fit one in

Fantastic food, great place for kids as there is a playground outside and the best kids menu I've seen in Carmarthen. Reasonably priced with really nice staff. A secret gem this is a regular place for us now.

Friendly staff, tasty food, comfortable surroundings, large beer garden and plenty of parking

The pub has been taken over recently and you can tell the difference! It's spotless, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is also lovely. Served very quickly and we all got our meals at the same time so no one was sat waiting. They are making an effort putting things on like craft fairs, Sunday quiz after their carvery, we will definitely be going back!!

😎 Myself and a friend did a ~ Ladies who do lunch thing~ chose this location as we were passing ~ ordered the ubiquitous Fish and Chips ~ we both have an allergy to milk so we're delighted to have beer buttered fish absolutely delicious ~ we both agreed we will be coming back to explore the menu further. Added bonus l asked for a vegan mayonnaise which arrived without fuss. Thank you.😎
