Tafarn Y Deri in Carmarthenshire

This was my second visit since the new owners Kath & Rich took over. The food was excellent & served with a smile. All food is freshly cooked to order. Very welcoming staff who can't do enough for you! Looking forward to my next visit already!

I came for Sunday lunch on the weekend and it was by far the best I’ve had! The gravy was delicious, and the beef was so well cooked, it just fell apart! The meal sizes were perfect. The staff were very attentive and helpful, I would highly recommend!

Was in the the tavern y deri Sunday. Will not be going back dinner was very disappointing. Gravy was like water. Food was layed out on the plate with half a roasted potato one scoop of mash and boiled veg.

Really bad experience, do not bother. From the terrible service , we were ignored for most of the evening. When our order was eventually taken waited around 30 mins for our food. Lasagnehad clearly been warmed up in the microwave as it was dry and hard around the edges, chicken was really dry and bland accompanied by a handful of over cooked chips , peas and a few lettuce leaves passed their best. We had to ask to order dessert , really wish I had not bothered. The apple pie again put in the microwave, this time to defrost as it was warm at the top and cold on the bottom. Will not be back

Absolutely loved our weekend stay. Best of welcome. The room was immaculately clean, with fresh clean towels and bedding, with the extra touch of tea and coffee facilities. The food was delicious. In my sons words, Gordan Ramsey would be proud. The manager Shelley is also lovely, down to earth and hard working to ensure we had a great time. I know you will make a success of the place and wish them all the best for the future.

I wanted a break with my wife in Wales and we saw this place It was fantastic The Linen was Fresh and Clean .The Hygene standard was very good. After a long day of walking in the Hills The bed was very comfortable. Great value and very affordable. and the Manager Shelley was super helpful and Kind .Thank You for making it a very pleasant stay

Call there for lunch today and was not disappointed. Had homemade lasagne and scampi was really lovely and freshly made seved with real chips!!!Would definitely go there again.Good luck to new owners who were really welcoming and the housekeeper who we chatted to on the way out
