"Welcome to The Tafarn Y Phoenix Located in the heart of Gorslas, Carmarthenshire. It’s a pub with a community feel and as part of the refurb we’ve refaced the exterior of the building, refreshed the garden and all of the internal spaces. With dedicated drinking and dining areas, there is something for everyone. On the menu, you’ll find a crackling selection of burgers, bar snacks and pub classics. Plus, traditional ales on the bar that the pub is known for including Brains Bitter and The Rev James cask ales."

Amazing pub. Eat there Monday afternoon, Beth and Jo were amazing. Very warm and welcoming and friendly. Made us feel right at home. Food was delicious very good value for money. Fire lit and so cosy. Lovely atmosphere great to see a pub thriving. Highly recommend.

Visited the pub for the first time on Sunday for the first time in a while. What a change. New management, refurb, its looking amazing. The new land lady was full of energy, smiley and very attentive with service and making sure everyone was happy. We had the Sunday dinner which was tasty! Looking forward to coming back and trying the new menu on 29th. Atmosphere was warming and welcoming and service from Beth the landlady was above and beyond. Great choice with new management!

Went for St Davids Day. Great to see a local pub embrace it. Daffodils on table, cosy fire, and a great welcome. The new landlady couldn't do enough. Also the lady working with was fantastic. Food delicious, great value for money. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great visit, will be back soon

Had a fab time here on Friday. Went for food and drinks, food was delicious, very good value for money and delicious. Served quickly no massive wait despite it being quite busy. The ladies on were very friendly and welcoming and delivered great service. Great change in the pub for the better. Lovely energy, atmosphere and pub. We will be back!

Overall we were disappointed with our experience at the Phoenix, standing in the door way waiting to be seated for a while, we were then seated and asked for drinks straight away and was told someone would come take a food order 15 minutes passed and we then had to ask someone to order some food (covid rules table service only), the food then came out and was okay, no staff member came to table check us, we then finished our food and was sat there 10 minutes and nobody came to clear our plates away and we would of liked desserts but when we had to ask at the bar if we could order desserts we were told “kitchen is closed” by the women behind the bar, meanwhile the chefs that were still in the kitchen could have easily put a dessert together?~quiz nightWe were asked if we wanted to be apart of the quiz night and we said no, I believe that the customer service was rubbish and that when the quiz started the staff switched off to caring about anyone else in the pub that wasn’t taking part of the quiz, they were understaffed.Overall staff seemed very rude and service was a shambles, kitchen shouldn’t have closed without customers not being offered desserts, will not be returning

We had only been to the pub once before the revamp but it has really improved drastically. The interior is very nice with a good selection of food and drinks. Outdoors is apparently dog friendly so we’re looking forward to taking our new pup there this summer.

Group of 3 of us for lunch at 4pm and it was fantastic, friendly servers all over, the food was delicious and talk about value for money. Good aesthetic to the place as well being seated by the fireplace was a lush treat taking me back to childhood sitting around an open fireplace. Highly recommended.

Fantastic venue with a good pub menu, and extremely helpful and polite staff. The food is very reasonably priced, but there is a more limited choice during the evening. We turned up on a Thursday which turned out to be the weekly quiz night! Had a fantastic couple of hours, lots of fun, in a lovely clean and welcoming environment. Will visit again!
