The Bear Inn in Carmarthenshire

Great vegetarian spot in the heart of Wales. The inn has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere that appealed to us a bit more than the surrounding establishments. I had the vegetarian bear burger which was a bloody good sandwich!!! My partner had the daal, which was made exactly right with good flavour. Everything well priced. The service was perfect, they got you what you wanted, and left you alone, that's all I need. Definitely a top spot that should be checked out in the area.

Loved The Bear Inn!We were staying in the local area and were not really sure where to go for dinner and took a chance by coming here - glad we did.My family and I are veggie and it was so nice to go somewhere where the menu is all veggie and vegan meaning we weren’t restricted to the normal veggie burger and chips option.Staff were nice and friendly and service good.Would come again!

Vegetarian/vegan options only. My girlfriend had the Singapore noodles; which consisted of 95% pasta and a cheap bouillon flavour. I had the succulent burger which sounded interesting and tasted ok, but I got sick when arrived at home. Obviously wouldn't recommend or go again.

Lovely cake and cuppa on our car run out today. the Welsh cakes were lovely Last time we Loved the salted caramel vegan cheesecake , even though not vegan. Staff were lovely.

Unexpected find. Had our first vegan meal and it was a pleasant surprise. Friendly helpful Service , beautiful decor inside. Would defo recommend it.

Just passing, dropped in for lunch. Very clean and welcoming, lots of small rooms. Good choice of light meals for lunch, excellent food, well presented and quick friendly service. Definitely worth a visit

Amazing stay on Sat 12th February. Great room. Lovely and friendly staff. All of them including Jean, Stacey, Cerys and David etcHad an amazing 4 course dinner. The good is great and cooked with love and care.Also had a valentines day dinner with my friend which was great. Service and food was top quality again.Quality place and would recommend either staying in the hotel, eating in the restaurant or ideally both

Highly recommend to stay there, lovely quirky place , very friendly staff, vegan food only. Jean really went out of her way to help us with viewing a property and made us feel at home. The only down side is the noise from the traffic but that's not their fault,we will continue to stay there while looking for a house in the town. Thank you all at The Bear. X

Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic pub! We went as a group for a new years day dinner and had the most delicious meal. The staff were wonderful and had the best chips I've had in a long time! Brilliant vegan options which are tasty for vegans and non-vegans alike. Well worth a visit.
