3 of us booked a table for food and drinks and it was the best tapas we've had in a very long time, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive and the atmosphere was amazing. I would highly recommend If anyone's looking for perfect food and a good night to spend some time in the black lion.

Brilliant pub. From being out of town and there on work for a week, not only were we made to feel welcome by the staff, the locals too. Had a couple of steak dinners during the week and I have to say they serve the tastiest fillet EVER!!! Chef says he only seasons with salt but I think there is something more making the fillet the best tasting ever. If you are in the area, please pop in.Thank you guys, apologies that I'm socially awkward and didn't ask your names.Ewan

We were holidaying in a camp site nearby and stopped in this pub to avoid the rain. We spent all afternoon in the pub playing cards and although they didn’t serve food the owners were more than happy for us to order an Indian takeaway from the local restaurant and eat it in their pub, providing us with cutlery etc. Really friendly, very accommodating and a fabulous place to spend a rainy afternoon!

We called in for a drink on our way back from a youth cup game of rugby in Cardiff. There were 3 buses and they worked extremely hard to serve us all. Staff were great.
