A great Sunday lunch on Mother's day. Generous portions from the carvery and excellent service. Also had a free bottle of Prosecco as a gift.

Last minute booking was no issue, and the food from the new menu was lovely. Highly recommend

The food was exceptional and the staff were amazingly helpful. Unfortunately, the pub and restaurant section of the hotel is not disability friendly. There is NO DISABLED TOILET and the regular female toilet is not big enough to fit a chair through. I like building up an appetite before a meal as much as the next person but dragging myself across the floor of a customer toilet is at the bottom of my list of ways I'd like to do it.It's a shame because everything else was brilliant.

Overall its was good value for money. The rooms need some tlc and fixtures and fittings need work. The main road outside attracts local boy racers at night testing their exhausts.....Breakfast was decent as it was included in the price. Didn't feel friendly by the staff on arrival.

Fresh and tasty. Wasn't a quick lunch, but we weren't in any hurry. Enjoyed our sandwiches all freshly made.

Excellent Christmas carvery and menu.We all had starters followed by the carvery. We were all far too full to try a dessert but they did look very good.Will most certainly return for future gatherings.

Ordered and paid weeks in advance for the Christmas dinner, for Christmas eve. Supposed to deliver between 3 & 6, nothing arrived, rang to be told they were busy and would ring back. They didn't. Rang again and they said they'd forgotten. Finally arrived around 7pm and it was rank. Never again.

Have regularly stayed at the Boars Head and was really looking forward to what is usually a fantastic breakfast. Absolutely shocking. The quality pork and leek sausages have been replaced by substandard cheap bangers and the rest of the fare was shocking. Could be stayed at a better hotel up the road but stayed here on the strength of their previous breakfast. I won't make the same mistake again. P××s poor.

Well, the food was good. The hotel is going under some refurbishment, hopefully they can add some black out curtains to block out the high street lights! And maybe some better secondary glazing to brick out the noisy youngsters driving cars till midnight, police and fire engines, road sweepers ,o yes and the bin lorry collection glass at 6am. Not a good night sleep.
