The Gatehouse in Carmarthenshire

We were so surprised walking in, it's not how I expected it to look! It's been beautifully decorated. Everything on the menu sounds amazing, I chose the halloumi baguette with avocado and chilli jam. Reasonably priced too, huge drinks selection from coffees, soft drinks and wine and beer etc. The staff were all lovely and the whole place had a nice warm feel to it. Cannot wait to go back and try more things off the menu!

Stopped here as had an hour for lunch break. Myself and my wife liked the setting and may have been better for a coffee and cake stop.We waited around 30-35 minutes for food. First of which was my wife's 'mac and cheese' loaded fries - which looked and tasted like 'pasta n sauce' and fries.My meal was 5 minutes later which was nice a chicken burger with pulled pork loaded fries.We would call & again and will try a breakfast in future.Staff were friendly and apologetic for the wait.Also think we managed to listen to the majority of Queens Greatest Hits and as Freddie would say - Because I'm easy come, easy go,.We will return

Went to the steak night … food was delicious and presented beautifully. The staff are attentive and extremely pleasant.Been here for breakfast previously and again had a very warm and friendly welcome and delicious food and coffee.

I used to visit with my late husband but going out on my own is very hard but l made the effort and the two young ladies could not have made me more welcome the food was very tasty and the coffee excellent this will be my treat visiting when l am near kidwelly.

It is clean and cosy, the food is well prepared and delicious. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is relaxed.Will definitely be going again.

Wat a fantastic place. Service excellent staff are so helpful friendly polite and fun. Coffee hot chocolate and selection of cakes first class. A pure joy. Would recommend to everyone. Will definitely b back . Awesome

What a lovely little cafe, the food is so delicious. The chips were golden brown and delicious, the burger was huge and it all felt so homely in the best way, I also had a milkshake which was so nice. The decor is so cosy and bougie at the same time and I left feeling so full and it wasn't expensive at all, well worth the price!

Nice venue under new ownership, had to wait a long time for food, told they were short staffed in the kitchen. Young staff some need guidance easily fixed. Food very nice had a chicken tikka burger.

Best breakfast ever!!! Beautiful coffee and such a nice place, it was made all the better experience by the young lady called darcy, what an asset she is to the buisness, will definitely call here again, well done guys awesome place!!
