The Pembrey Country Inn in Carmarthenshire

Lovely food, lovely staff! The chef/owner is really attentive and friendly. We have been three times now for a meal but most impressed this time when our visitor was a coeliac and he came out and discussed everything through with her, so she felt reassured and there was a good choice for her. Definitely recommend. Clean and nice atmosphere too.

This little find is incredible. Went for lunch and they were so accommodating and friendly, from bar staff through to chef. We chose standard pub grub, but there was a wide range of other meals, with the children being able to select any main, but in a child's portion, very clever. And then the biggest surprise was it was such a reasonably price. Thank you for making the start of our break so memorable in all the right ways. We will definitely make a detour to come again.

The staff make you feel so welcome as soon as you come in through the door. The food is absolutely amazing and they are dog friendly and make a fuss of your dog. Not a bad word to say, would recommend anyone you will not be disappointed. Well done to the team here

As an avid lover for the roast dinner, I cannot rate this place high enough! The meat was absolutely perfect, portions were massive and the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend you try this place! If we didn't live 5 hours away we would be here every weekend.

Really lovely pub. Very modern interior with some of the original features remaining.The staff were all warm and friendly, and the effort they went to for everything was amazing.The care they have for their food was great to see.The vegan fish and chips was lovely, and the vegan seafood chowder was delicious, with plenty of lavabread.We'll definitely be back when we're next in the area.

Had amazing food and amazing service last night. We were a big group and were made to feel very welcome. Massive compliments to the chef. Everything was very tasty and hot. Will be definitely coming back. And we seen that it was dog friendly which is very good know.

In the area for a week on holiday and this pub/restaurant is not to be missed. Food was really good we had lasagne and a vegan burger, both were great quality and the portion sizes were big with the promise of a top up of chips and salad if required. Chips were some of the best we've ever had.

Visited at the end of Feb based on a google of pubs and dogs. From walking through the door we were made so welcome. I can 100% recommend the food. Exceptional. The biggest and most beautifully cooked mixed grill is epic. Fab food, fab team with a brilliant soundtrack! We will absolutely visit again.

Food was amazing, hot, tasty and huge. I had homemade vegetable curry, the plate was huge...it smelt delicious and it was delicious. So much I didn't manage half of it...there was so much...took it home in a doggy bag...lunch sorted for tomorrow. My hubby had linguine with chicken...he said it was delicious and my in laws had Belly pork with creamy mash and leeks...they cleared their plates it was do tasty. It's a lovely, local pub serves amazing food. Well worth the price. Sticky toffee pud for some and apple tartlette was devoured. Only downside was the music was a little bit loud. When you're eating you want to be able to enjoy a conversation...but that only a little issue...we will definitely be going again. Lovely, friendly helpful staff and a huge well done to the chef. Excellent.

Absolutely love this place. 1st time visiting and will definitely come back. Staff were so kind and helpful. The chefs were lovely and were accommodating to my dietary requirements. They went above and beyond not just for us, but all customers. They spoilt my dog with slices of beef which was incredibly kind. The food was gorgeous, the presentation was stunning and portion sizes huge. Thanks so much for a fantastic evening of wonderful service and food.
