Stopped here yesterday for a few drinks and seeing as the sun was shining decided to have a few cocktails. Nice location was beautiful outside in the sun.

Having been here several times before this visit was very disappointing. I had French onion soup for stater which was more like gravy and very greasy. My partner had fish cake with no taste . The main course we choose the vegetarian crumble which was tasty and pleasant but it was served with side vegetables swimming in water and cauliflower cheese also watery and tasteless. It appeared that these side dishes had been frozen and microwaved. After this we didn't stay for dessert and left to eat else where. The cost for this which included two soft drinks was £39.00, expensive bearing in mind the poor quality. I must add the waitress was helpful and welcoming. I don't like giving poor reviews but this visit was well below standard and it will be interesting if the owners respond.

I visited here before in 2019 and had a very good experience. This time was totally different and very disappointing. Vegetables were definitely frozen variety, chicken sauce tasted like out of a packet and whilst staff were polite, the wait was over an hour. Will not revisit and would not recommend. Try Brown's next door.

Had a really nice meal for two. Found the food and service to be excellent. Would recommend if you want something better than a pub meal without being too expensive.

It's good, not great. Food was good; a good selection, tasty and priced accordingly. Service was friendly. A well stocked bar helped the proceedings. Well placed in the middle of town. It's a good place for value food and friendly atmosphere.

You'll find the Portreeve Restaurant tucked out of the way, just off the main road through Laugharne.Friendly atmosphere, can imagine this place buzzing before CoVid.Welsh Steak and Ale pie was delicious and the Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake was to die for.Thoroughly recommend.Full CoVid protocols in place.

Excellent food & service, with generous portions, inside surprisingly spacious & quirky restaurant.Main course & desserts for all 3 of us where excellent. And with generous portions we came away stuffed from just 2 courses. My special of Rib of Beef in rich ale sauce with Horseradish Mash was beautifully rich & deep flavours. Then followed with generous sized rich warmed chocolate Brownie smothered in chocolate sauce & high quality vanilla ice cream on the side. The vanilla ice-cream Sundae had by one of our other group was similarly impressive!Restaurant also has free WiFi which may be useful for those not getting good mobile reception around Largharne.

Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. The food was perfect. Really put a great end to our holiday in this amazing little village. Will definitely visit again just to try the lamb shank

Visited here for sunday lunch. Service excellent, food didn't quite match it though. Carvery meat was dry (over cooked) and gravy was salty. But soup included was a nice touch.
