The staff are amazing. Friendly and very helpful as I was on crutches and my father is also disabled. They carried out food back to our table, they where very attentive and so polite, nothing was to much trouble for them. They where all amazing. Thank you for treating us so well.

Decided to go for breakfast on bank holiday Monday, Toby wasn't serving, but recommended the harvester downstairs. Disgusting. Took over 45mins to receive our food, there were only 5 other tables occupied. The tea and coffee were served long before the food. Luckily they are refillable!!! Then we had to wait for toast which also took ages. Service was terrible. We could see that our plates were on the counter 'keeping warm' for almost 10 mins. When we finally got to ask one of the servers about our food, it was brought to us in 2 seconds. By then it was luke warm. We waited so long that we couldn't be bothered to mention it, the only nice thing on the plate after all that was the sausage, the egg was bland, and the beans had dried up after being kept 'warm' for so long. Not good .

Walked upstairs and confronted by an empty reception/ greeting desk waited 5-10 mins without attention so picked a nearby table, settled down chatted about our day as Carmarthen is one of our favorite market towns.Shortly a staff member greeted us and took our order for drinks and chosen meal of the Carvery and vegetarian lunch and told us to go to the food line to make our choice and on our return drinks would be waiting. As we were nearing the queue for food she dashed up to us and demanded we change tables immediately as our table was reserved we apologized and pointed out that not one of the many vacant tables had a reserved sign attached and we had already settled down and placed our order with her. At that point we did return to the table, collect our things never to return. Fortunately there is an abundance of quality restaurants in the town this is not one of them.

Standard carvery on a Sunday here. The staff were run off their feet, so service was a little slow but the staff did apologize. We ordered desert, the chocolate fudge cake didn't taste great. We waited for our kids desserts to turn up but by the time we had chased them we had finished ours and the kids wanted to go. We were then told they didn't have any Lolly's left. So bit disappointed, also was sooooooo HOT in there! We were all sweating buckets! Had to run out of there in the end.It is located above the harvester, there are stairs and a lift to the first floor.

I like to treat myself to a nice roast dinner from the Carvery, for about a tenner, choice of three meats roast spuds, and coliflower cheese, and four or five different veg, and different sauces like mint, apple, cranberry, etc, cheaper than what you get in a normal pub, no preping, or washing up, the staff friendly and obliging, and you can get take out as well.

Too busy. Couldn't get up the stairs during a covid era.Messed my day right up. I was looking forward to a lovely carvery to fill me up on a Sunday afternoon during January. However due to the queue coming down the stairs I didnt make it to greet the staff.Maybe next time will be different since covid is coming to an end now.If I make it in next time my review may change.Best of luck

I didn't rate this place very much. Instead of the carvery I decided to try the fish. I ordered the fish with a salad this is exactly how I received it. ( Photo will show). I think if you are going to Toby carvery stick to a carvery. In waiting a long time for my meal I was told that the steamer had already broken down. They should have taken the fish off the menu.

Went for breakfast on a Thursday morning and we did book but needn't have as although it did fill up but not full.Very nice breakfast usual full English for £4.99 Hot drinks extra although I did spy a coffee percolator by the toaster.DIY toaster and buffet go up as many times as you like ( if you can)!!Would have liked a choice of eggs but it was good enough.Very friendly staff who explained what to do.Yes will go again and yes it's great when you have visitors staying 😀.

A good place to eat and good value as well. The carvery includes roast beef, pork, gammon and turkey from Monday to Saturday and with addition of lamb roast on Sunday for a good value of £7.75. If one wants extra portion, can add £1.99 to have 2 chipolatas and an additional Yorkshire pudding. The vegetables can be improved as they are overcooked especially the brussel sprouts, otherwise I would give 5 stars. The atmosphere is cozy. Waiters are attentive and they do ask how was the meal. There is a lift to get upstairs and a toilet for the handicapped. One can also pay through the Toby app if so wish. Will visit the place again.
