Yr Hen Dderwen Wetherspoons in Carmarthenshire

Ordered 11:05 and currently 11:50 still waiting.Asked for my food to be checked on twice.Around 11:25 went to get myself my own drink that I saw on the counter just laying there with no attendance.Sound my food just came whilst writing this review.Also saw about 3 different waitress clock in before my food came lmao.

Visited for the first time Saturday 23rd April with another couple. We ordered our meals at the same time, their meals arrived long before ours. My husband went to ask and was told his curry was ready but they were waiting for the burger. Eventually arrived but mine was cold, the waitress offered to order a fresh meal but our friends had finished their meals, so I said no and was told I could have a refund and I had £6.30 back. My meal had obviously just been put aside and forgotten about!! The system you have isn’t working.The popadoms that came with the curry my husband and a friend had were inedible, they would have gone straight in the bin at home. More training needed there too!!A very disappointing visit.

Cheap, great staff nice stella good food

Wow. Came for a meal on Steak Tuesday! No steaks gammon, fresh meat. Choice burgers or chicken nothing else. Apparently they have supplier issues. Carmarthen sits in the Welsh agricultural belt. Local butchers have plenty of local supplies. Maybe Tim needs to review his supply chain!

This place was popular with most of the tables being occupied. The menu was based on fast food type food with the order being returned fairly quickly. Whether it is a pint of beer or a cup of coffee "Spoons" has it covered. Disabled toilet facilities are located on the ground floor with general toilets located downstairs. The atmosphere was polite and cordial. Give it a try. I am told the roof garden in summer is really nice.

Pleasant staff but both plates of food were only luke warm when served at the table. One dish was Chicken which was cold in the middle. Meal was replaced and chicken was warmer but chips and peas were still only luke warm. Has to be the worst Wetherspoons meal so far.

Probably the worst experience I have had in a witherspoon. Ordered food on the app at ten past two, was told ten minutes later there was a half an hour wait on food, no problem. A hour later they were trying deliver another tables food and after another twenty minutes our food was brought out.

Freshly refurbished with large tvs ,modern furniture and deco ,loads of space to seat and also a 1st floor now .The staff as always very helpful and friendly ,4 star due to no parking but it's only a short walk from a large car park

Just had a recent refurb which imo has turned this from a 3 star to a 5 star pub. Can't fault it has a lovely roof top terrace now and the decor is lovely on the inside now as well. Staff are lovely especially the one lady who's always cheerful .

Nicely located with a fantastic menu and quick service. The food was great tasting and good value. The gents was clean, however; 1 of the cubicles was our of order. Friendly and welcoming staff made the experience great. I only dropped a star as this is the second Wetherspoons that was completely out for tartare sauce. Other than that I recommend here great venue, customer service and cleanliness.
