Griffin Inn Pub in Pembrokeshire

A welcome haven from a rain soaked 'Wales Coastal Path' and as a result we decided to treat ourselves. The very knowledgeable waitress guided us around some delicious sounding fish plates which proved to be exceptional. The only problem was that we then had to venture back out into the rain!

Fantastic all around. Had dinner there and came back for pints the next day. Seafood pie was exceptional, as was the monkfish with Thai spices. Scallops starter and toffee pudding dessert also delicious. Lovely setting by the water, with a patio upstairs if you prefer. Great, friendly service throughout.

Proper friendly welcome. Very good and impressive menu knowledge from staff. We ate completely off the fish menu. Tasty food, pricey if eating off the fish menu but it was literaly off the boat. Ate outside, you can't access the terrace from the restaurant. Dog friendly.

Local pub with a seafood menu in Pembrokeshire.The food itself was ok but considering the portion sizes, £26 for mussels and £15 for 4 scallops, it was poor value for money.They also didn’t pay for Spotify premium, adverts every 10 minutes

Good range of local beers and seafood but I’d rather have simply cooked fresh local fish with local veg, (you need to steam samphire ) rather than with strange spicy sauces, or odd accompaniments, let the fish speak for itself.Very overpriced for what it was, nearly £100 for 2 starters, mains and drinks?! 🤑Megan, our ‘waitress’(?) was great, very friendly and helpful and made our meal even more enjoyable, she deserves a pay rise, because of her we’ll be back just as long as she serves us!

Amazing meal! Some truly inspirational & clever flavour combos. My wife & I really enjoyed every part of the meal. A definite not to be missed restaurant if your visiting the area. Our waitress was great too! I beg you to visit these guys, it’s well worth it!

Loved this place, great food and super local beer. What really made it though was the thoughtful service where we felt very looked after even on a busy Friday night.

Really nice pub in a great location over looking the sea. Food was brilliant. I went for the seafood pie. Definitely one of the best I have had and my friends said the same about the cod and chips

Great experience dining at The Griffin. Staff and service was fantastic, food was hot and tasty and the fish fresh (fish menu features a number of fish caught locally each day) is a great choice, if a little pricy.Very safe and comfortable environment, highly recommended.

The location is great and they clearly care about serving fresh seafood. Only, they ruin it with their cooking. From (overcooked) king prawns drowned in a avocado&dried tomatoes cream that covered everything, to a cod loin submerged in a purported white wine sauce that really tasted like cheese nachos, the fresh seafood unfortunately disappeared and was hard to enjoy. The best part of my dinner was the asparagus that came as a side to the cod; well cooked, still crunchy and tasty.I might have given this three stars (as said, they do care about produce) but the place is too pricey for this kind of mistakes and I left with the impression of having wasted £80 (two starters, two mains, two half pints) and an evening.
