We have been to this hostelry three times since moving to Wales and have not been disappointed. Attentive service, decent beer and wholesome food at a keen price whether it's breakfast, lunch or an evening meal. Good toilet facilities too. All in all great value.

Came here for dinner and breakfast (on different days) with friends. Great service, food and very reasonably priced. Nice and clean toilets. Disabled toilets in a convenient location and good vegan and vegetarian options too. Will definitely return when we're next in the area.

On Saturday as most Saturdays are for us we go into the William Owen for a few drinks and something to eat, this last Saturday 02/04/2022 we went inland had a couple of drinks before ordering a meal, I had gammon jacket potato and peas with eggs, it was atrocious, the peas were like bullets the gammon was very grisly and overall I could not eat it. A gentleman staff member came to take our plates away and asked if there was a problem so I explained, approx 5mins later a female staff member came and asked what was wrong and agreed to refund the meal. I am a disabled person so only use the disabled toilet in the said establishment, so went to use it and found it absolutely disgusting so I complained to a member of staff who said she would deal with the matter, the annoying thing was that I had had to make the same complaint the week before, it was 2pm and the board in the toilets had not been signed since 9am. I am absolutely appalled with this establishment and also found out that many others had complained about the meals. From a disgusted customer.

What you'd expect, well priced pub grub. Fast and friendly service. Nothing special but not bad either.

I ordered from the app. Great table service. Polite staff. Food was the best I have ever had in a spoons. Prices are amazing.Wish they would put a bit more veg on the menu but that is only because I work away from homeReally great experience here. It gets busy but I really do fully recommend.

Lovely clean, reasonably priced breakfast. Shame about the rule no chips before 11.30, but you can have chips with steak ordered anytime during the morning 🤔

First time visiting here since the covid regulations have been put in place. It was rather odd initially as we weren't sure what we could and couldn't do. Basically, sit down at your table and you have the choice of ordering through the app on your phone or by using the touch screen tills at the bar. Service was very quick and staff are working exceptionally hard. Food wasn't too bad. Children's meals were very hot (better than being cold) and the portions were large. In Wales, currently, the largest number you can sit at a table is 6 so If you're 7 plus, you'll need more than one table. As you can't book online, this will be hit or miss as to whether there will be more than 1 table available and if they're next to each other (separated by a perspex screen)

Nice building. Open fire and chandeliers are nice. Staff polite. Food dissapointing. Decided to try scrambled egg on toast after seeing someones plate at another branch. This was nothing like expected.

·

Lovely building. The visit to the toilets showed excellent wooden detail on the doors and corridors. Would love to know more about its heritage. Anyway staff were lovely. Food really fast and would definitely visit again.
