Was very disappointed in this little pub. It was the only one in our village near our camp site The pub looks nice from the outside and over looks the beach however the inside is dated. No food available either that is sorted by the restaurant next door which again was the only one in the village and fully booked for the next forth comimg weeks. We did manage to get in the restaurant due to a customer no show on our first night, after that we went out elsewhere , we didn't even return to the pub for a drink after that.I found the landlord not very welcoming no conversation from him. A friendly hello would have been nice, and the pub I don't think is very family friendly.Loud rock music which for a pub that's probably has a lot of tourists with children I don't think it's very suitable, but hay my opinion. We did have a friendly chat which one of the young locals who we found very helpful with local information.Would we go in again-No we wouldn't.

It's extremely hard to review this place. The location is gorgeous. The beer was fine. The food microwaved, and more expensive than the menu, but we were refunded the difference. The landlord is very eccentric. The décor is "unusual" and the whole place could do with "refreshing".If you want great food and service - perhaps not for you. If you want to sit in the sun with a pint and look at the view - it's good.If someone who knows their stuff gets hold of this place there will be standing room only.

Style over substance unfortunately.I don't think they can handle bigger group's yet.We went last night with a group of 12 people to the brasserie.Unfortunately it was a bit of a poor show from the new restaurant. From the start we could tell they were very under staffed and it felt hectic. Our table was booked for 8pm.We didn't get seated till around 8.15pm.Our orders were eventually taken at 8.30pm.It took 20mins for bread and olives to be served then another 10mins for the only two starters to arrive. An apology for the delay from the kitchen was timidly mentioned to the table around 9.15.Just over an hour after ordering we asked how long it might be.We were bluntly told "The chef has already apologised for the delay"A few minutes later the food was served. The food was ok.If it wasn't rushed it could have been amazing. The chicken burgers were a hit, although they were very salty. The fish and chips. The fish was mushy after being under a heat lamp so long and the "chunky chips" were just skinny fries.Good peas though. The steak was underwhelming.Simple rocket salad and a few skinny fries. When asking for the peppercorn sauce that didn't get served. The response was"it wasn't on the order" and the waitress walked off.The £14 vegetable skewers looked like a starter. The member of the group who ordered them asked for a refund as they were no where near a main meal! The saving grace. The manager realised that we hadn't had a good experience and gave the group 20% off our bill. All in all. Not the best evening. The place has potential but with it being under staffed, it let the whole thing down.We are all locals and unfortunately won't be returning any time soon.Best of luck in the future.

We went here for the opening night, there were a few teething problems but the food was amazing. Went back today for lunch all problems have been sorted . Fantastic choices on the menu. Beautiful location great atmosphere highly recommend

A bit 'Little Britain' but with lovely view. The decor had a strange charm but suspect not updated in years. Various things (e.g. partition in gents loo) suggested work done by someone with little sense of finish or aesthetics (or possibly neither time nor money to do more). As mentioned by other reviewers the lunch time food very poor value for money, and basic is the most sympathetic way I could describe it.Worth popping in to see the full sized stuffed albatross. Place could easily live up to the atmosphere of 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner'.

This was the experience of a lifetime. Decor straight out the eighties. There's some sort of discotheque in the bar and some very interesting memorabilia. I only had a coffee and a piece of fruit cake so don't feel fully equipped to give an extensive review. However I feel I have to tell you to at least call in if you are ever passing.

Strange sort of ambience, and feels a bit scruffy. Ale recommended by barman, (I think it was dragon something) was excellent. Food was OK but expensive and not very generous quantity. I would definitely recommend for a good pint, but probably avoid the food unless you are desperate for something to eat.
