Stopped for a late dinner as was staying local, really lovely food and attentive staff.

I'll start with the bad but not bad. Ordered food and the staff got confused. Chef came out and sorted it all out, so was extremely happy that it was corrected. Food was delicious and couldn't fault it. Well presented and beautifully made. Good prices. Didn't have my mulled wine. 😞Would defo go back. Lovely staff and very welcoming.

Highly recommend this place! Food was amazing and portions were big. The desserts were outstanding, we had the waffles and apple pie, they were perfect! Staff were friendly and was very quick service, couldn't fault them. We are not local but would definitely come back again!

We're not locals but this was the cutest little pub to where we were staying. They were dog and child friendly, although nothing for the kids to do, we were happy to sit and eat! The food portions were ... WOW 🤣 I was thinking of getting dessert but I could cram it in!! Food was delicious 🤗 Staff were very friendly and accommodating, would be happy to return!

Absolutely love this pub ! It has become our local whilst on holiday. We called by chance on our first night and have been and eaten there every night since !The food is outstanding, the portions are massive and the staff are all lovely and welcoming.We had our dog Ivor with us who was always fussed over and welcomed at the bar.T

Great pub, great food with really good portions and some nice fish specials. Lots of space between tables with lots of outside eating options. BUT the best thing about this pub is the staff and the locals in it. We were staying in Spittal for 2 weeks and they couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Always ready for a chat and a joke, with some brilliant recommendations for local things to do, our holiday was hugely improved by the places we visited because of the chatter in the pub. Quiz on a Sunday, the occasional party with late night singing, great owners, the kind of place that makes a holiday. They have also clearly pulled out all the stops to help their community in the past 18 months. Go twice.
