We arrived far too early for our meal but fortunately discovered a lovely little sheltered sunspot out back perfect for a coffee. Inside, it has a nice cosy atmosphere exactly as you would expect to find in an old stone pub. Food wise,it was a tale of two meals. My fish pie was possibly one of the best I've had; full of fish rather than potato as is often the case. My wife had locally sourced pork sausages. Maybe this is common to this part of the world but the texture was a little soft and mushy for her taste. Not bad just different and something to be aware of. The service was excellent being both friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

Thanks to The manager for topping me Pints 🍺 up, Legend!! Top place, nice one.

Staff are always friendly and the meals are a good pub standard. The place is pretty big with a sort of locals bench next to the bar where someone is always sitting, chatting, scoffing - a bit of banter..., then you have pub tables, a back area for larger groups and then a balcony with a lovely view over a small valley... The real gem though - it's history dating back to the signing of the 1797 last invasion treaty with the French and it's involvement with various bands and festivals throughout the year!

Stayed in Fishguard for a week and this was the pub of choice. Ate there on two evenings plus also visited for drinks. Great beer garden at the back of the pub with its own bar which was great. Good views over Lower Town. Food was really good, between my wife and I we sampled 4 different dishes all of which were really tasty and good portions, my wife particularly liked the chicken supreme!! Staff really friendly would highly recommend.

We were lucky enough to be in this town during Aber jazz weekend, and wondered into this beautiful little pub on our travels. Super dog friendly and we ended up staying the majority of the day in the beer garden listening to the jazz band no mean biscuit. The staff were super above and beyond!!! The food options were great and equally as delicious! And the views from the beer garden were just lush. I would happily hurry back again

Wonderful staff! Great seated area outside with beautiful views. The food choices are great, really good quality grub using top ingredients, reasonably priced. They were very accommodating of our dog too, highly recommend!

Main food OK. Service OK. Clean and tidy. Toilets clean and tidy. Wasn't impressed with the bread and butter pudding but the sticky toffee pudding hit the mark. Misiscule amount and a little tasteless. Wasn't busy, so it made the visit better. Views from beer garden are fabulous. Would be exceptional views if weather was on our side, which it wasn't. Other down side is, where we were placed on the table, it was near the bck door, so every time someone went out or to the toilet, it blew in cold air. As weather as turned, it was a bit chilly indoors.
