This is hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had. The batter was light and extremely well seasoned; you could also taste the freshness of the fish. Absolutely incredible. Some constructive criticism is that the floors were slippery in some walkways due to the nature of the restaurant.August 2021

Trev and the team never fail to impress. A lovely fresh remodel to the interior. We arrived midweek without a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. We ordered the set meal from the specials board and went for the Haddock and Plaice fresh from Milford Haven. Great sized meals , lovely staff and clean throughout. 10/10

What a wonderful place, a traveller's delight. After a week of camping, we ate our lunch on our way back to London. Food. Ambience, infrastructure, cleanliness, covid protocol, sanitiser, toilets and toiletries. Best experience. But what took my breath away was the constant attention and care shown by the staff at our table. You know how callous the service industry is when it comes to UK! Inhospitable restaurants and pubs! This places in wales will treat you how you would like it to be! I will give them 8 out of 5 for being so nice.

Stopped here for evening meal. Food we had was very good. I had plaice, which came deep fried in batter. Best Hoi sin sauce in a long time, came with spring rolls... Service was prompt albeit a bit oriental in nature. Had to listen carefully to understand. Everything was clean and tidy and open. Also serve takeaway from same kitchen.

This is the first time we have eaten from “something’s cooking”I wish we had taken pictures prior to tucking in.. the only thing left was the box’s..the misses had Pie and chips, I had cod and chips. We both said how amazing our meals were, in fact the best fish, pie and chips we’ve ever eaten. I simply had to share it.Great food with friendly efficient staff. Thanks again ☺️

Recently bought two large fish and chip takeaway meals from here after driving 40 mins each way especially to visit. I'm not fussy but it was the worst fish and chips I've had in recent memory. Nothing like the other photos on here. As you can see in the photo it was more like half a fish and that was a heavy overcooked greasy soggy slab of the least fresh fish I've had in some time. More like those supermarket frozen battered fish in boxes. I had to throw it away which is a first as I'm not a fussy eater. Too far to drive back and complain so wrote it off as a bad experience. Perhaps it was a one off but I'm not inclined to repeat the experience. In contrast I had great proper fish and chips in Swansea on the way home. See other picture for comparison...that's how it should be!

Something's Cooking has been on my list of chip shops that I've been meaning to try for ages. When I found out that you can pre order your food and pay via your smartphone it became a no brainer.I kept my order simple, regular cod and chips as pictured. I was very impressed that it was ready and waiting exactly on time. The staff were very pleasant and friendly although due to my food being ready to collect I barely enjoyed the hospitality for thirty seconds. The food was devine and I'm ashamed to say that I ate it in the car outside the chip shop and never made it home. The batter on the cod was light and crispy and the cod itself had beautiful thick chunks. The chips were light and fluffy, simply gorgeous. I will definitely be going back there especially with them being open in the morning and the simplicity of ordering the food prior to the attending.

A truly amazing dining experience. Better than Rick Stien in Cornwall. Fish cooked beautifully. We will definitely visit again. I would happily travel an hr to get here. Well done Team 👏

Thanks Trevor and staff for a lovely meal. Turned up one weekday evening, hadn't booked but they managed to find us a table despite being very busy. Great restaurant with lovely, friendly staff and, just as importantly, fantastic food. Adults shared haddock and chips, along with scallops and prawns. All amazingly fresh and very well cooked. Would definitely order the scallops and prawns again, delicious! Kids were well catered for too, and enjoyed their brownie sundaes. Will definitely return when we're next in the area

Excellent chippy, we ate inside the restaurant. The staff are very efficient and friendly and adhere to all covid guidelines. The restaurant was immaculate and the decor is really fitting with the Nautical theme. There is a great choice on the menu and they have special catch of the day also. The children's menu was really reasonable with Chips, a choice of fish, chicken nuggets, sausage etc then the option of curry, gravy or beans and then a drink and pudding also included for £6.95.The food was amazing tasting and really well presented. We will definitely be returning again soon.
