The argosy fish and chip shop saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire

It was our first time getting fish and chips from here and we certainly weren't disappointed. The cod was massive and the chips were delicious, as was the side of curry sauce. Plus it was really reasonably priced. Will definitely be using this place again.

Great fish and chip shop. Chips were crisp and not all soggy It was cash only when we visited - not sure if that's always the case but it's worth getting cash out for.

I have been here a few times when visiting Saundersfoot, the chips are not the best I have tasted, but are usually of a reasonable standard, the fish was nice, good thickness, and well cooked in a batter that was slightly too thick but not too greasy. The shop itself is minimalist, and clean and often fish is cooked to order so you may have to wait 5 minutes, the staff look clean and efficient.

Terrible tonight. Fish had so many bones in it was practically inedible, the batter was thick and still raw in places. Chips were undercooked, and the mushy peas were full of suspect brown bits. It was truly appalling. We were one of the last customers to be served at 6.45 as they had to close as they had run out of chips, otherwise I would have taken it back and asked for a refund.

Came here yet again in August 2021 and again the chips were to die for. We came back several times over the week we were here...Best fish and chips in the area. The skin on fish review on here is clearly from someone unused to eating fish. Chips are good. Fish is good although batter lets it down a little. Have had takeaway from here several times and always good. Never had a sit down meal so can't comment. Pies are excellent.

I will eat almost anything but these chips are dire. Then wrapped so tight the white slugs IE chips became a cannonball of crushed grease. We ate a few and binned them. Staff were tidy just don't know how to fry chips. Portion size was very good. Just a shame they were so bad.

Chose this fish and chip shop after reading other reviews - we were not disappointed! Happy to stand in the queue (much longer than the other f+c shops) and were glad we did!

Friendly staff (always remember us when we visit and always make a special fuss of my son, which he loves). The food is the best in the area and there's nothing better than chips at the seaside. Reasonable prices for fabulous food.
