Decent menu selection, nice food and drinks. Decent prices. Big area for dining. Vegan options.

Booked meal here as last resort, as everywhere else was fully booked. In fairness the staff were welcoming and pleasant, but food was to say the least poor.On entering there was an overriding smell of burnt fat as if the fryers had not been re-charged with fresh cooking oil and this was reflected in the grilled gammon. The Lasagne was obviously microwaved and was overly oily, and it appeared that the meat content was subject to stringent rationing.Once bitten, twice shy.

1st time we visited we had excellent food and an excellent experience and so we returned for my 50th birthday lunch and sadly was disappointed. The food was cold, the batter on the fish was soggy and the oil had a tang as if it needed changing even the mash potato had a weird tang! Sadly not a great 2nd experience

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly, polite staff.Would definitely recommend a Sunday lunch. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Always eady to park here. Lovely clean toilets. Nice pint of Thatchers Cloudy. Friendly locals. We haven't eaten or stayed here so can't comment on that.

Went for a meal on a Saturday night. Waited 50 mins after placing order ?? Food was OK. On paying, the young lady acknowledged that we had waited excessively and reduced the bill. No member of staff came to ask if all was OK.

Had Sunday lunch. Lovely, food pipping hot and plenty of it. Friendly staff, and Doombar on draft. Thoroughly recommend 5***** 👍

Very rude staff when we arrived, party of five shocked by this. We would have left but due to poor weather and it being a Saturday night stayed to eat. I chose food from the menu that we have least risk, fortunately the food was OK (typical pub food), and the young staff were pleasant. I live in Australia and have never witnessed poor hospitality like this. Would not recommend a visit.

We visited in October for Sunday Lunch and the food was fantastic. I am gluten free which is normally an issue but not at the Begelly Arms! Prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were huge. We will definitely return next Summer when we are back in the area.

We went on a rainy Monday lunchtime and it was definitely not what we were expecting. Don't let the outside fool you as inside it was cosy, warm and really comfortable. We both had the steak which was exactly as we asked for it. The chips were amazing as was the rest of the meal. The waitress was lovely and the price was dirt cheap for the drinks and food.
