The Bishops in Pembrokeshire

On our first visit the service was great and the food was delicious! It was warm enough to sit outside which was nice. The following night (Friday) it was a completely different atmosphere, very noisy and cramped inside for a comfortable dining experience, so we had a drink and ate elsewhere.

We sat outside on the terrace which was comfortable whilst enjoying the sun.The pub had a great atmosphere, the food and drinks were on point and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Odd one this. Not what I expected at all. To look at this place is an old pub the centre of the local community. I doesn’t feel like it though. We booked a table and on arrival were told oh you are over there. That was it no menu no oh you order at the bar,nothing. The staff were polite enough but there was sense that they all had far too much to do. So you order at the bar which is fine. The service from the kitchen would put Wetherspoons to shame. I think it was less than 5 minutes and our starters were out and the minute we’d finished them mains arrived too. All told we were done in half an hour or so. I’d expect a pub like this to have freshly cooked food to order and spend an evening there enjoying the atmosphere. Not here. The food was fine and if you want a quick feed and be out quickly it’s perfect. If you want an evening out with a meal then this isn’t the place for you.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was really good too. The beer garden in the back is really well maintained and clean.Not a bad pint of Guinness but well off what they've been told as its the best around.Again what I find sad is the prices businesses are charging for food and drinks in West Wales. Well over priced sadly, £5 for a Guinness and I think £4.60/80 for s Coors

Very disappointing experience unfortunately. The staff were not extremely friendly. Our table had 9 empty glasses on it when we sat down. They brought us our cutlery, then our food and walked past several times during our hour there and didn't remove the glasses.The food was average at best. The batter was soggy and the fish had little taste. The mushy peas were tasteless.One good point is that the beautiful and very well decorated establishment.Would not return and for sure would never recommend.

Wonderful period pub serving a good selection of beers, spirits, coffees & teas and food. Servings are generous & service is quick with polite staff. Lovely nook beside fire place is a great area. Well worth a stop if you are visiting the cathedral.

Was really impressed with this pub, came for a Sunday roast and wasn't disappointed. I had the veggie roast which swapped the meat for veggie sausages which were actually really nice! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Pub felt really clean and well laid out. Definitely be back!

Fantastic location in the centre of St Davids. The food was very good, I had the curry which was very tasty and the other half had the Balsmtic sausage which she rated very highly. The staff are spot on and you can see they work very hard to please the customers. After our food we sat in the beer garden overlooking St Davids Cathedral with a stunning sunset. Would I recommend The Bishops - yes but book in advance as they can get very busy.

Nice seating area at the rear over looking the cathedral.Food was very good, but keep an eye out for seagulls as they can clear a table of any food in seconds if left unattended.App required to order your food & drinks.
