Please consider this review when choosing to eat here. I asked to return a seafood paella that I felt wasn't warm enough, and had dried up. I decided to change my order as I was nervous about luke-warm seafood, however, seconds after I put my new order in, another paella appeared.I explained this to the waiters and asked them to return it, at which point the manger came out and told me that unfortunately I would have to pay for the paellas as they would now be wasted! We were told they were made fresh when they clearly weren't. We were also told to go into the kitchen and check for ourselves!I don't like complaining or writing negative reviews but this is an absolutely shocking example of customer service. The manger took at least 5 minutes to leave the table and embarrassed us in front of a crowded restaurant. We left immediately and will not be returning. It ruined our fathers Day meal unfortunately. Our family have been solva visitors for 50 years and have never had any trouble in the village. It's comforting to know it isn't just us as we have read similar reviews on here when people have ordered the same dish!

We are very jealous of those who have left good reviews for The Cambrian. We found our whole experience very poor indeed, starting with our selection of “Beginnings” which arrived after our starter and which we sent back. My steak was cooked well; rare, as requested. However the experience was rather spoiled by the arrival of my wife’s paella, which was dry and overcooked with a blob of mayonnaise on top! Very odd and flavourless. Service was inattentive and generally very slow. The Welsh Ale on offer from the bar was, however, quite good. From the experience we had we could not, in all conscience, recommend this venue.

Great food ! I had gluten free chicken curry with rice, steaming hot tender chicken, spicy med hot sauce and lovely basmati rice - large portion, with g/ f roll too xx for afters g/f choc tart and choc sauce, with white vanilla ice cream - curry £15, dessert £8 but we'll worth it- Great service and excellent food freshly cooked so had to wait a bit - clean and tidy restaurant and toilets , staff attentive, we would definitely visit again, best meal we have had this week 😋 xx

Brilliant food and service here. I had the chicken curry from the menu which was served in proper Indian style and it was delicious. Its also very close the solver beach which is convenient especially if you have just finished a walk along the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Very good experience, worth the visit

Ate at the Cambrian three times during a stay in Solva. Food was good but a bit pricy. I have a food allergy and the last evening we ate there my meal was slightly not as described on the menu, but was okay. Nevertheless it puts a doubt it in your mind.

Really lovely one night stay. Great cosy room, comfy soft beds with very nice amenities. Couldn't fault the staff, service was perfect. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Great location and lovely walk up the Gribin. Definitely a place I'd recommend ❤️

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely Inn. Rooms are clean and fresh. Really good breakfast and we also ate in the restaurant one of our two night stay. Service and Presentation is first class. Parking right outside the door . Great location with StDavids close by. Thank you to all the staff. Definitely recommend :-)

Haven't eaten here for many years but probably had one of the best meals I've ever had, Steak, Guinness & Stilton pie, absolutely delicious. Lovely restaurant and great staff. Will definitely eat here again on another visit to Solva 😊

We used to love the Cambrian; the food was (and still is) outstanding. The service however is achingly slow. We had hoped it was a phase; new staff, maybe high turnover. But we have experienced multiple times inattentive, slow and frustrating service. Irrespective of how busy the restaurant is, you are often left waiting for menus, waiting for a drinks order or often resorting to getting up and going to the bar to ask for your order to be taken or pay the bill.We really hope this improves as the food is fantastic and the restaurant used to be firm favourite.

We would not recommend. The staff were polite until there was mix up with our food, we had mains delivered before our starters and the waiter had said that we had requested this but we hadn't. Our mains were roast dinners and starters were whitebait. They said that we could have dinners followed by our starters ?? we explained this wasn't acceptable and that our roast dinner would be cold, so they said they would keep the dinner warming while we waited for our starters. We requested that we had a fresh meal cooked not a reheated meal, the waitress said this would be the case but when it came it was clear it had been reheated. There were items missing from the meal as described on the menu and the parsnips were rock hard and chewy, beef was dry and the list goes on.. we had no one ask how our meals were and no sight of a manager despite being present. The icing on the cake was that one of our party was ill with food poisoning. Areal disappointment !!
