The Jolly Sailor in Pembrokeshire

Brilliant service , friendly staff. We had a massive table of 19 and all food came out at the same time and was delicious . The staff were very helpful. They brought out my son’s birthday cake. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was busy on top of our large table and still the service was spot on with lots of staff. Great experience for families , thank you.

What a lovely location looking over the river Cleddau. Now let's talk about the lasagna. To quote my brother in law, "it's as good as mine". Which may not mean anything to any of you on here, but you haven't had to sit through years of "not as good as mine" conversations in restaurants. The fish and chips was very tasty with a good, thick cut of battered fish used and proper homemade chips. The place is well ventilated and although it was hot outside, inside was nice and cool. I shall return.

I recommend this family pub to all my guests. Just a short drive from Pembroke with a large beer garden over looking the estuary with breathtaking sunsets. Children’s play area and plenty of seating outdoors.

Lovely food. Very friendly staff. Good variety for different diets and requirements. Very reasonable prices. Lovely, hearty, tasty meals. Also fantastic views over the Cleddau.

Popped in for lunch, cold outside but a very warm welcome inside. Dog friendly in the bar area, water put in a dog bowl very quickly. Scampi ordered, one with salad, one with chips 2 great meals, we even managed to get peas on the salad plate, this seems quite difficult in a lot of places. The owner chatted to the people in the bar about local walks at. I will definitely be going back well worth a visit.

Excellent food and service. All necessary COVID measures in place for the time, arrived and waited a very short time to be seated. Table was clean, with reservation card in place. Had been cleaned before we arrived and we saw other tables being cleaned after diners had finished while we ate. Good selection of dishes, which arrived quickly and were tasty and hot. Good selection of vegetarian options. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be going back there for a meal again in the near future.

Jolly Sailor - Pub food that used to be! If all the restaurants were like them their business would be booming. Food was outstanding & portions were generous , service was amazing, the view is beautiful. Can't ask for more! When we arrived the place was full but the lady still made an effort to find a suitable time and table for us. Even though it was busy, the food didn't delay, the amount and quality of food was amazing. I noticed some of the staff being young, yet trained really well and they all have the perfect manner. These days all of these qualities in a pub / restaurant are quite rare. The only disadvantage is they are far from where we live! :) Also, thank you for letting our boy to borrow a bucket and giving him bait for crab fishing, the day after our visit, you made his day! If you are in the area go without hesitation (book before you go as it is quite popular) you will see that these people really try for their business. Keep up the good work Jolly Sailor x

Meals were delicious and great value for money. staff were so friendly and helped in every way. Kids loved the crabbing 🎣 definitely would recommend and can't wait to go back

Brilliant location, amazing views. Didn't have food, just a drink. We sat outside and our waiter was a nice young lad. He was very helpful as we were looking for accommodation for the following day 🙂
