£7.50 for a pint of beer and a pepsi. Rip off. Not much choice of lagers and staff took forever to serve me even though there were at least 4 at the bar. Better off getting some drinks in the fridge at the holiday home!

Food was very tasty, and good portions. Dog friendly, and the staff were lovely, and fussed over the dog, they gave him treats, so he was happy too! Love the dog menu 😀

Been coming to Freshwater East regularly for the last few years and this was previously a dark place that had no identity. But now it's great to see this place as thriving as it is. It's now a nice welcoming bright place for a meal or casual drink. It also now has a small arcade for children (or adults) and the food is stunning.

We ordered pizza to go from here last night after our drinks. It was extremely busy but the staff were friendly, accomodating and working hard. I had a gluten free pizza and it was THE BEST I have ever had. Yummo!

Food was lovely, waiting time wasn't great but a round of drinks on the house was enough to keep us happy. Just my 3 year old granddaughter was getting tired.

Second visit but not up to par, food was put on cold plates. Skimpy with meat and rosties and the service was medicore.

Great cafe at Freshwater East. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Prices are good and staff are lovely and friendly. The waitress made friends with our dog when she brought him a sausage. Definitely will be back when next in the area.

Should have cooked at home!Booked a table at the longhouse yesterday for Sunday lunch, having never eaten there before. Won’t be making that mistake again.We were shown to our table outside the rear of the premises, obviously due to the covid-19 and current restrictions. The choice of meats were turkey and beef, with my other half and I choosing the beef. Our teenage son didn’t fancy dinner and ordered fish and chips, only to be told there would be an hour wait while they prepared more batter. He then ordered a ham baguette and a bowl of chips. The area we were sat in looked a little worn out and shabby, which didn’t give a good impression. Many pubs / restaurants have been using lockdown to paint and decorate, ready to welcome tourists.After around 30 minutes of waiting for food we asked where our food was and was advised it wouldn’t be long. After around 45 minutes, we again asked where our food was, and again was advised it would be with us soon. I wasn’t impressed and wanted to leave, but the other two in my party were hungry and were keen to eat. We were offered a complimentary drink for the excessive wait for the food, which was taken up by one of our party. Once the food arrived, it soon became apparent it wasn’t worth the wait. I’m fairly easily pleased and enjoy my food, but this was the exception. The roast potatoes were hard, with the broccoli and cauliflower being a struggle to cut. The cutlery we were given was more suitable to small children rather than adults, my other half even found the fork bending when dealing with the vegetables. A large majority of the beef was left on my plate when I had finished, as it was full of fat and inedible. The baguette that was served for my son was also less than impressive, with the bread tasting like it was on the turn!On paying for the meal, did I complain? Regrettably not, but in all reality, it is nice to be asked how everything was, and whether you were happy with everything? This would have been my opportunity to make my feelings known. Not quite sure where all the 5 stars are coming from, were they having an off day? The whole experience was rather poor and we certainly won’t be visiting anytime soon!
