It was a surprise party for my 60th, the staff were very attentive, the food at the carvery was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Very child friendly. Will be going there more often now.

Twice I've been in for a takeaway carvery and twice I've been greeted with absolutely horrible customer service. One of the bar staff asked us if we were "okay" and I replied with "yep just in for a takeaway dinner" she then turned to the till to round up two dinners without even asking if we've paid or if it was together or separate? she asked for the full amount for two dinners and I said it's separate payments and her attitude to redo the payment was awful and we both had to tell her it was card as she stood there just waiting for money and no card machine. We then moved onto actually getting the food and the male chef his attitude and customer service was just as bad as the bar staffs. The worst was was the female chef with black hair I remember how terrible she was from the first time I was in for dinner I smiled a few times because she made eye contact with me and her face had the most disgusted look on it, like if you hate your job and greetings customers that much change it! she told us there was bags to wrap our own dinners up and there was one left inside a basket of cutlery and a bag hanging on the wall which looked to have napkins or something inside she didn't even say that bag had the bags inside it instead she sighed heavily grabbed more bags came out round the counter and snapped each bag individually from the tag to put inside the bag hanging on the wall, that situation would've been avoided if we were told that's were the bags were being kept. I came back the second time for food because it was lovely the first time but after this I'll never give you my custom again I'd highly advise your staff to re-evaluate how they treat customers coming into a "four star" hotel.

This was a last minute booking for a very sad occasion. I got the very last available room which was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. The staff were welcoming and extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was outstanding, a varied menu to cater for everyone's taste and a most delicious traditional Irish breakfast! What an absolute gem of a place. Thank you

This facility was top notch before it changed hands, and before the chef Charlie Dillon left since then literally 9 times out of 10 there is a problem on a weekly basis regarding Sunday carvery. The chef is arrogant and rude as is the manager I had the misfortune of dealing with. Food Quality and customer care has completely left the building prices have increased and portions have considerly decreased to almost a child's size, which they have now taken off the menu totally. Used to love coming here every Sunday to enjoy award winning carvery which is certainly not the case now. What happened to the customer always being right.

Called in for lunch.. Had carvery…3 choices…turkey, ham, roast beef. I askd for a slice of all 3 but was informed a third slice Wld be £1.50 extra . Slices were sandwich filler size. Had slice turkey & ham. Very dry. Roast potatoes I wld have needed a hacksaw to cut! Not impressed for £11.95 afternoon carvery. . Disappointing and wld not recommend. Definitely not value for money.
