Lovely staff and food was great 👍

This place was rated 2 stars when I checked it out here and it very nearly made us go elsewhere. However, on further investigation, I noticed it was based on a single review and in my opinion is extremely harsh. I found the food to be way above average for a mid-range hotel restaurant. We availed of a 2 by 2 course meal offer for £39 with a bottle of wine included. The wine was surprisingly good and the food quality was excellent, so this felt like good value. Staff were very polite and seemed to enjoy their work, which always adds to the experience. Would definitely eat here again.My biggest complaint was that they don’t facilitate tips on a credit card payment, which is simply ridiculous in this day and age. It meant we left no tip, as we had no cash on us (who carries cash anymore?). That is doing a disservice to your front of house staff and actually took away from my overall customer experience as I left feeling guilty and embarrassed. Sort it out!

Very disappointed with service. Had a 50th birthday with 25 people and while the food was nice the service was poor.
